Hi,
Objects in the game (things like rivers, Leader animations, icons, resources etc) don’t display properly in my game. I’ve tried lowering the hardware acceleration, changing the 'anti-aliasing multisamples' (whatever that is) and graphics options in the game.
I updated the driver and downloaded the patch and neither helped.
The objects affected change all the time. Sometimes they display fine and in the next game they appear like this. Further into the game Units and cities have the same problem as the Icons in the screenshot and maps are sometimes warped in places.
I’ve attached a screenshot (well it was a screenshot but I had to make it smaller to fit within the 500KB limit).

I haven’t had time to look through all the threads so sorry if this has already been posted.

Also, my PC exceeds all the system req.

As you are no doubt aware lots of issues have surfaced ....

There's no quick fix, and before an official Firaxis patch, you have to grind through some stuff to see if it works for you, it may not ....

Read the fix it list top of Forum

Load the Firaxis V1.09 patch, frankly it does not appear to do much, but some have reported good things so go with it.

Then give this a whirl

He has come up with some good ini level changes, plus a couple of others that has helped many.

Then go for this

Civ IV has a Major Memory issue, and Harkonnen's Patch addresses that, so much so that the thread has had 53,000 hits in 6 days.

Its worth loading the 4.12 drivers for the Radeon (get from driver archive side of www.ati.com), many have reported they are much more stable, and more relevant to the time when this was Beta tested. Also worth considering the Omega version of the Radeon drivers, again lots of good reports have come in about those.

Its a bit of a voyage of discovery, and other issues may surface along the way, but if you give the above a whirl, and use the two threads above to post related issues, then you might be ok enough to keep going until the offical fix comes out.

Regards
Zy
