Dissentions V2.0 Game Thread

Why not Dirty Fighter versus Mage Masher? They seem to be a little too quiet for my liking..

The Mentor, after spending a long time in contemplation, speaks simply.

"Very well. Let us be led by the Void Walker, LightFang. So long as there is another that desires the responsibility, I will not take it for myself.

"As to the matter of combat, it seems that the fight between the Sacred Fist and the True Believer will be a good one."

BananaLee, if what you're implying is that they are the Imperial agents, and you're right, then that would be a good idea. But a lot of people have been quiet.

The Forsaken looks up from his reverie. Sometimes it is hard to believe that he is no longer in his crystal. He was trapped for so long, it's hard to interact with others. Stll, a deal was a deal, and he knew if he wanted to survive he would have to cooperate.

Admittedly, this group of people was not what he was expecting when he agreed with the Benghadii. The people he normally killed were weak, mere peasants, not these legendary heroes and infamous villains bedecked in armor, spells and glory.

The Forsaken reached down with a claw and began drawing in the dust in an archaic language. After surveying his work, and recognizing the puzzled looks around him as people attempted to understand him, he signed and acted his words out.

"I agree, let the Vampyre lead Team 6. Furthermore, I suggest that Team Six be called, from now on, the Shoguns of Destiny.

Additionally, I support my fellow combatants' wishes. Let the Sacred Fist and True Believer compare their faiths and gods. I restrain from betting at this point."

If LightFang is adamant to seize leadership I won't stop him. I hope he is prepared to act like a leader and spend a lot of his time plotting, scheming or otherwise deceiving rather than drifting off into the void.

[OOC: If you're going to be leader, you're going to have to be active and you're going to have to do more than just name our team]

I change my leadership vote from Chandrasekhar to LightFang for leader.

I think it would be fitting if The Holy Man fought The Vampyre. Light against dark, an interesting combination.

No. I will fight the were-beast. I shall kill him personally.

Stupid move mythmonster2, I change my vote to read myself to fight mythmonster2.

Ha, ronin, your arrogance shall be your demise. I change my vote to the ronin, if only to show what will happen to those fool enough to challenge me.

OOC : Okay everyone, I'm here, but I don't have much time. I still need to do some backfill to properly RP this, so give me some time.

In the meantime, I support LightFang as leader of Team 8.

There is a series of hissing from he robed figure.

''(hiss) Yes master.... (hiss) I will tell them master. Illithid will be team leader, or the master will be very mad! (there is more prolonged hissing).''

The Illithid is crouched on a bench, humming a strange tune under his breath. He looks up suddenly and red eyes flash from under the hood.

(hiss......)

ooc: smallish post, im to tired to think :P

"A team leader," he mumbles to himself, "what good is that gonna do against the coming...?"

"Renata can lead our team, though a lot of good it will do us... but...perhaps... " he seems lost in thought, "perhaps I speak to quickly. Perhaps there is ...hope?"

"This wil require some further inquiry. Time to consult the book!"

He rushes off to his tent.

The aging lady watches in clear amusement as all the young hotheads scramble to be the first to die.

Well well, what have we here. A duel approved by both duelants, or one where one picked the other and the other hasn't had the chance to speak up and where everyone joins the bandwagon. Which one seems most fair, pray tell? Obvious choice to me, but then back in my day there was something called honor. Ah yes, those were the days, those were the days, I remember so well...

Ah yes, Ronin wishes to fight the Vampyre, and the feeling is mutual, let them at it I say! The Sacred Fist can save his holy wrath for another day.

BananaLee, if what you're implying is that they are the Imperial agents, and you're right, then that would be a good idea. But a lot of people have been quiet.

OOC: Well, it's because they're NPC :p

IC:
The old woman speaks the truth. We certainly can't deny two men their desire to settle their personal vendettas. I say we indulge the two of them. I change my vote to Ronin versus Vampyre. May the one with least bad breath win.

The Shaman opens his eye.

He had been quiet since all this started, holding up in his little tent set up on the outskirts of the city proper and involving himself in mystical rituals passed down over a thousand generations.

He had a terrible feeling about it all. He had not really wanted to be here, at this tournament, with the very real possibility of a horrible death. He would very much prefer stay back home studying the scriptures, mastering his arts, and conning gullible shepherds and farmers. But then he has a terrible habit of acting on instincts, and senseless violence for fleeting glory in a mortal contest seemed like a good idea at the time.

Never mind that. He is here, and he know he can not hold up in his tent forever.

With a quick prayer to the Sky Goddess, he stepped outside.

Ronin, there is no need to fight a stupid, pathetic, loser as is the vampyre!

But if you wish... Ronin to defeat the Vampyre...

Vampyre! heed me well. I will feast on your broken body once the Ronin is done with you.

I still want to see whose God is the best. Sacred Fist vs. True Believer!

I already said it once, why not again? Sacred Fist vs True Believer
