{Tolis said that the typhoon might take his internet down, so maybe that's what's happened. Seems a bit unfair to just kill off Tolis's game without waiting a bit longer for him to get back, though. He has obviously worked hard on all the character stats and special abilities and whatnot.
IMO we should wait a while longer, perhaps a week or two, for Tolis to get back so he can make a decision on the future of the game, like Renata said. But I also agree with Niklas, in that breaking for too long is not good for the game, and if the break does turn out to be considerable - longer than a week or two, I mean - then we may as well take it upon ourselves to end it. Last time something like that happened, in the first Dissensions, half the players had left by the time the game prematurely ended, and I know I couldn't have picked it back up again (couldn't remember my gold total or items or stats, or what Agent strategy our evil team were using).

I have Tolis as an IM contact and he's been online almost every day. I've even talked to him via IM several times and offered to help out with the update and mentioned the update. So he is online and he does have access to us, hence my dismay.

Some, very limited. I've offered each time to help with the updates and he ignores the statement. I won't paste the discussions or even statements, but my own opinion is he's lost interest. The last update I helped him with and the update before that Niklas helped. Without an active GM, this game is dead. Anyone care to take the helm? Maybe someone who has died and is still interested?
I personally think this game is far more interesting than NoTW, so i'd NPC my character to take it over if nobody else was going to. However, we seem to have so little interest that its not worth it.

That begs the question then, if a new and active GM were to take over, would people continue to play? I would, but what about everyone else?
I'd agree to Pinman or someone else taking over as GM. Once, and if, the decision was made, we'd all just send in our pm's to the new GM and give them some time to get familiar with everything.

If you all will get behind me on this, then here is my projected course of action:
I'll see if I can get Tolis to send me the information. You all do that too.
If that fails, you all will have to send me your starting PMs and any items that you bought, and also your gold. This is where dishonesty and honest mistakes may occur, so I don't want to do this.
I would also open a new thread so I could keep the front page updated.

There are 29 of us left (not counting the Dirty Fighter), and only three or four are completely inactive. Maybe twice that many are barely around, but isn't that always the case in these games? I think if LightFang really wants to take on the enormous workload, it's worth doing. (But please accept help if you need it!)
Finally, this is Tolis's baby. He did a ton of work on it, and much as it would be a shame for it all to go to waste, if he ever says he doesn't want the game to continue without him, I'm out. Otherwise, I'm in.

To be honest, would it be worth Lightfang starting up a new game on his own terms? The problem with continuing a game in progress is getting all the information (Both mechanical and history to date) and picking up the threads where they were left off, which is difficult.
In addition, a new thread allows people all to start fresh as if the game had not been on a break.
Finally Lightfang can put a personal touch on the procedings as necessary, so it isn't really taking over Tolis game but continuing the franchise in a new way.
Also, Tolis hasn't spoken about his plans as of yet, so I'd rather leave this game on ice until that happens. I'll play whatever happens though.
