This thread is intended for general discussion about DLC 5, including (once the DLC is actually released and we have patch notes) feedback on the DLC content, gameplay changes, and the like. Once the DLC and related free patch are released, we will also create a thread in Tech Support for those having difficulty installing or running the DLC or the patch. And after release, any bugs you discover should be reported in the Bug Reports sub-forum per usual practice. If you want to talk solely about Nubia, feel free to use the existing Nubia First Look thread.

Please do not use this thread to talk about potential content in DLC 6 or any future expansion. When there is anything remotely relevant to discuss about DLC 6, we will open the DLC 6 Anticipation Thread that has been created and locked for now. If you can't restrain yourself and simply must discuss DLC 6 or future expansions in this thread, your posts are likely to be deleted as off-topic spam and, if you persist, may lead to infractions and a short vacation from the site. Just a friendly warning to stay on topic.

I suppose I will post SteamDB updates here for the next few days.

Perhaps we should discuss what we would like the devs to talk about during the livestream tomorrow? If we have any questions we would like answered, we could put them here and if they happen to glance over this thread in Firaxis HQ it would give them some prompts?

I'd like to know what that Wonder does. Based on the wikipedia article, it had like 13 temples and 3 palaces. Could it permit an extra pantheon or belief?

Hm, perhaps. I was thinking it might have a production oriented ability to tie in with Nubia and give them a reason to go for it often. It's on a desert tile in the first look, isn't it? Restricted to deserts/floodplains at least seems likely.

The Apadana doesn't give Persia a specific reason to pursue it. Pericles, in fact, would be most interested in it.

It's even on a desert hill I think.

I will go with 'requires a desert hill' and either a religious or a floodplains bonus.

Given that the wheat is thoroughly buried in chaff in the now-closed thread, could you give us a brief summary of the latest updates (perhaps everything that's happened so far this week)? And any prognostications you may have regarding what we may see up until the DLC and patch go live?

Many thanks. :)

Last week they changed from two 2kqa updates per week to three. We also had one late yesterday. They are updating Mac and Linux qa builds together twice per week, but they don't have Nubia in them. I expect that this is because they are primarily focusing on getting cross-platform to work before the PC build goes live.

Inexplicably, 2kqa_g updated again yesterday after almost a month of dormancy. I don't think it's going to come out with Nubia, but I'm far from sure. My mind may change if we see 2kqa_h update today.

Everything looks like Nubia will be going live for PC sometime Thursday. Presumably the Mac and Linux qa builds will start testing Nubia shortly afterwards and it will go live for them in a few weeks.

I'm thinking if you build a Holy Site next to the wonder you automatically get a free Temple or able to purchase Apostles without a Temple in that HS.

If I recall correctly, the DLC 5/6 announcement said there would be two new civs and three new leaders. Do we have any confirmation yet of whether the "extra" leader will be in this DLC or the next?

Other than the speculation of Indonesia, I would anticipate the extra leader is in the next one. DLC5 appears to be what I expected. It's free to those who own the Deluxe version but a paid DLC is still coming.

Remind me, for the last one, were the patch notes up before or after the dev livestreams?

After the Livestream last time.

This DLC is free with the digital deluxe edition? It seems so funny to play, but I dunno how desert start bias will work, not so op as so much people think?

Here's why I have no faith in the upcoming patch.

And you need to click the "buy with faith" or "produce item" button while you are in the production screen... why exactly?

I assumed it was a complaint about no signs of a production queue, but I'm not sure exactly what was intended.

The production selector still covers up city information. Can you tell me how much faith and gold this city is producing from this screenshot of the city screen?

If you open the purchase with faith or the purchase with gold panels, you won't even be able to even select the icon that opens the production panel unless you close one of them first.

And what's those 3 buttons at the top? ^^"
