DLC Recommendations

Seems to me that if you only want one, the Spain/Inca one is going to be your best bang for your buck. And personally, I think the Inca is a nice Civ as it changes gameplay more than the others, along the lines of Polynesia.

On Deity I find the Inca most 'fun' if not effective.

Micromanaging unit movements over hills and positioning escape routs for their UU gives a very different early game experience (and even as a seasoned Deity player I spend most of my game time in the first few eras because it takes a few tries to get a 'winnable' game into Rennaissance or beyond, for me).

Yeah, I've got a soft spot for those Incans too. Like you, I spend most of my game-time in the early eras as it's the most important in Emperor-Diety, and most games are "won" by the industrial era. So I like those ancient Civs!

Plus, my girlfriend is Peruvian ;)

Babylon- Usually plays small and defensive, again hard to take out

Really? I always have the opposite experience. They tend to play expansive and aggressive, and unless they end up taking on several civilizations at once, they'll always be the runaway civ of their continent, whenever they're in my games.

My favorite way to play Civ V is Babylon on a large continents map or the Incas on a standard Highlands map. As the Incas I can kick some serious ass on that Highlands map. It's almost like the Incas were designed for that map. I can't think of a more civ to map specific way to play and take advantage of a Civ's UA, except for maybe the Polys on an archipelago map.

So it would be my suggestion to pay for at least the Incas, but also get Babylon. I've bought them all, but don't even play with all the civs I've purchased. I did play the Polys for a while and they were fun. The rest of the DLC civs are sort of meh to me.
