WW is ramping up, so I divert research to Drama for 1 turn to access the culture slider.

We pop a Great Artist as well.

I'm starting to assemble another stack back home. We should keep sending them out.

I would use the Artist for a Golden Age. Maybe merge Prophet in Madrid and build Iron Works there.

:gripe: How many times must I repeat: we are in HR!!! There shouldn't be any red-faces. (esp when a stack is idling so near). In fact, there should even be a need to push culture slider.

Well, I worked on it and by mid turns, I can finally push the slider back to 0.

It is now leading a mini-stack of curraiser and cannons to rendezvous with our frontline troops, which met a tough nut to crack.

I think all our coastal cities (a whopping, mind-boggling 3 of them) should be pumping ship-of-lines to go explore that fort up north (I think that's where Shez is).

Research wise, instead of going AssLine after corporation, I decided to go Rail first. This will give us time to build a railway for faster troop movement while learning AssLine.

I set our stack next to Phoenician to heal so our cannons can break them and finally raze them.

Well, with nothing better to do, I started a GA with our Artist

I finally decided that it's time to break Pheonician. Threw 3 sacrificial cannons at it and cracked that nut with no other loss.

Zara got stupid and attacked our stack on the hill with his stack, but he got lucky and killed one of our cannons and losing almost all his troops.

Well, I dropped out 3 units next to that super soldier, and he killed the cuirassier and the cannon both on the same turn without losing a single iota of health :eek: Looks like we're gonna need to drop an army there just to take him out.

A Great Merchant is born in Ankara and is sitting there at the moment.

Assembly comes in next turn, suggest throwing out a couple of transport to ferry a stack to take out the super soldier. I've already started building a stack at Sakae for him. Once he's taken out, then that stack and move onto the remaining island.

I also have a pretty sizeable stack outside Madrid that can move out once the cannons arrive there. There's still 3 turns of the GA left for the next player.

Well, things look great so far. Our war with Zara is going along nicely, he'll soon be wiped out. I find a GM hanging around and decide to merge him into our Wall Street city of Madrid.

Finally we found Sheherezade ! [party] But we yet need to rescue her, so that means capturing her, and that means destroying that Guardian. I've done the math, and this guy has a strength of 110 !!!! :eek: We should postpone our quest until Bombers, you can drop 60 units on this guy and still do not avail.

Notice that I research Fascism for the free GG and have dropped our science rate to 10% for accumulating upgrade cash. I've upgradec our Monster SoD at Madrid to Cavs and Infantry, it's now moving towards Ethiopia. The Ethiopian units flee before it :D . Also I've started Ironworks at istanbul, finishing in 3. The Pentagon should then go afterwards at a mere 10-12 turns. As Factories come online we have health problems, Edirne is starving. I've juggled a tile from Istanbul to Edirne for at least slowing down the starvation and halt it at size 15 then.

We should focis now on building a navy and take the fight to the other AI. Some have Physics and the ever annoying Airships, but we can cope with massive SoD power.

Bombers are the only way. We are in range if we capture the barb city across. I think conquest may prove easiest, given that we need only a few bases on the other side for our troops.

Well if we need bombers, we are 6 techs away from the pre-req two techs (radio and flight), 140 turns left, so we better get cracking on that and actually winning this game.

I start a new fleet of galleons up to transport our troops to Maya land once we're done with Zara.

Research started on Sci Method, then Combustion (for hooking up oil and public transport, we're seriously unhealthy).

We continue with Zara who still seems to have plenty of cities

We're still a long way from eliminating Zara from this game. I reckon he has maybe 6-7 cities left. In my ten I could only raze 1 and start bombarding a second. Our infantry/cavalry stack has arrived and hopefully can speed things up.

I have sent this force out to just give Pacal a bit of a nudge to see where he's at, there's a second fleet 1 turn behind this as well.



I have two rallying points. A load onto the ship point and a defend the homeland point.



I started building public transportation in our cities to control unhealthiness, we should continue this. the oil will be hooked up in 5 or so turns so we'll take another unhelthy hit.

Research is on Physics, we need Electricity, Radio and Flight to get bombers.

Istanbul has 5 turns left on Pentagon.

I don't think we can win the game from here but we can at least take down the beast and fulfil the variant. Our best shot is to start capturing cities rather than razing them after flight and then flood the cities with bombers and air-drop troops. We may then be a domination chance and it will speed up the conquest attempt at least. Start settler spamming as well.
