"Soon", which could be a couple of weeks but more likely sometime this coming week. They haven't updated PC test branches for a week now, suggesting those are ready. Mac and Linux test and approval branches haven't been updated since Wednesday, but the fact that the patch hasn't been released yet suggests that something isn't completely ready.

My bet is on this Tuesday at 1 pm Firaxis time. But don't get your expectations too high.

Just for those not in the know, Firaxis time is US East Coast time (they are out of Maryland). Note that would currently be Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), not Standard.

Most European countries put our clocks forward this morning, so the regular time zone conversions should once again apply.

They never want to promise anything if the time could slip. So I think they're aiming for Tuesday, but something could happen (or not happen) before then that could delay it. And we'll never know for sure....

My guess is they originally hoped it would drop this week, but given the extra builds for the other platforms, maybe something held them back at the last minute.

There is no deeper meaning. That's their "cool, dude" way of saying it will fall within the general timeframe of the Southern hemisphere's "late Summer" . You know, some people ARE sophisticated, while others pretend.
