I'm a cheating bastard, in a way.

Especially on huge maps (which will take a lot of time to complete), I press ''New Game'' until my founding city is in a position to have
A)Marble and stone
B)Be on grassland
C)Next to a river

Not really. I always settle in the starting position without rerolling. I don't have the patience to load 500 games until I get it right.

In addition, where is the fun if I always get the same good start?

I would perhaps do this more if there was an easy reroll function. But quitting out and going through the settings again is tiresome enough to stop me.

Uh, start new game place you by default on your last settings.

I never understood why people reroll? The only time I rerolled was with Gandhi when I attempted Diplomatic victory on Warlord, but I eventually never finished the games because I got annoyed,so technically I've never really rerolled.
