My SSRIs have removed my ability to feel regret or anymore PTSD type feelings about past events.

Before Id be constantly worried and super stressed about stuff that happened 10-20 years ago.

Yeah, exactly. It's a catch-22 sometimes. At least when you face your fears and do something and it turns out badly, well, you did face your fears And they will not have such a hold on you in the future, though you will likely not do it again for entirely reasonable and not fear-based reasons.
