Do you find Despotism and Decentralization acceptable?

Do you not understand what a despotism is? It is there only to serve the despot and no one or no thing else. Not the enviroment, not the welfare of the people, and sure as hell not to ensure the survival of mankind. and also....

Yes, I know it's serve him. That's why he ensures the survival of mankind: he needs people the serve him.

Then, tell me why, a lets say, democracy cant do all of the things you describe above, and why only a dictatorship can?

You got the answer to this in the examples given above.

Environmentalists are so rageful when first they stir from slumber :)

It never starts out: "what would I enjoy doing that helps the cause". It's always: well, see above.

As long as I'm the despot, it's fine with me.

What? I'm not talking on environmentalism, but on forms of goverment.

But not everybody is needed to serve him, he certainly wouldnt help ensure the survival of mankind.......I really dont even know where to begin actually, this is so rediculous I dont even know why im taking you seriously.

You're right. Economic needs existis also under despotism. But a despot is smart enough to don't destroy what can help his own life. So, what would a despot do? Replace wood and other stuff with things from mines (if possible). And how would he do this? Killing those who cut trees.

Killing people in order to let others survive.

alright im not going to continue this discussion with you im sorry i just wont.

Out of curiosity, if human happiness is irrelevant, what is the point of human survival?

Thats part of my pont though, there are not "good" despots, and there never have been.

Sure there are. If you'll allow me to cite the enormous cliche that is Cinncinatus, you'll see a Despot to who rose in a national crisis, did the job that was needed, and then stepped down.

You can also see the absolute Monarchs of 18th century Europe doing some good work.

Good despots are somewhat easy to come by, chains of them are not.

But what if some of his prime supporters are the people cutting down the trees? He would probably do nothing if confronting the tree cutters meant he would be removed from power, seeing as he probably won't feel the bite of no trees within his own life time.
