RPGs are my favorite genre in computer and video game consoles. I especially love the final fantasy series and most games by square-enix. I even played ffxi (final fantasy 11) for 2 years which was square enixes first attempt at a mmorpg. I would probably still be playing that game and not civ 4 if my account didnt get hacked into and stolen from me.

Anyway for you rpg fans whats your favorite video game rpg?
And do you have a favorite series?

I absolutely loved the first Silent Hill, if that counts.

I have not purchased a gaming console in a long time.

Silent Hill is NOT an rpg. Its a survival/horror game. I dont think you know what an rpg is....

Cranky! ......*awkward*........

Not a big gaming guy. In the last ten years I played Civilization/Colonization, the EA Sports NHL series and the GTA series, that's about it.

Just because a game has light elements (extremely light in the case of GTA: SA) of an RPG that doesnt make it an rpg.

When you think of an RPG you think of games like final fantasy and others.. I havent stayed in touch with other companies rpgs im a square enix fan boy what can i say:D

Although Square enix has the worse customer service on the planet il admit that. If you think Take two/firaxis has bad customer service you havent seen
square enix.

FFIX FTW!!!!Ahhh the games of my youth.....

Lately morrowind has been siphoning the little free time I have....

Almost everyone on these forums seems to be an adult. I dont know how old but probably too old to have grown up with SNES and NES rpgs. That probably explains why nobody knows what im talking about.:(

I got the Star Wars battlefront2.Only shooter game i need for right now.Any one got a favorite shooter game?Better than those crappy rpg. :p

I played baldurs gate I and II but you have to admit the interface is very cumbersome. How are you supposed to click and direct individual party members in real time combat? Also Dungeons and Dragons can only go so far in a video game. I feel cheated playing it on a game because i cant use the coolest spells thats in regular dungeons and dragons.

Yeahh!! I've got both battlefronts. Shooters are more fun, because I grew up on James Bond:Goldeneye for N64.:)

Ahhh... The gold ol' shooter games.

I think you'll like this urban dictionary definition for Morrowind,

A highly addictive drug that is availiable to most teenagers in devoloped countries. Morrowind users tend to experience complete withdrawl from reality, and an incredibly vivid immerision in a fantasy world. Morrowind users tend to believe that they are in this world, which seems to be characterized by annoying midgets looking for lost rings, and houses made of magic mushrooms. Morrowind users suffer from extreme paleness, insomnia, lack of proper nutrition. Morrowind addicts often consume extremely high levels of coca-cola, and various flavours of potato chips i.e Salt and Vinegar, and Ketchup. Quitting Morrowind is incredibly difficult, but possible. Those who attempt to quit suffer from withdrawl symptons such sensitivity to the sunlight, violence, irritibility, and the inability to do basic mathematics. Constant jumping, bribing of law enforcement, and the exploration of dangerous places has also been reported. In rare cases, Morrowind users will see a talking, druken mud-crab merchant that sells hard liquor.

I used to like Morrowind, and then I realized 75% of the game was trying to walk to various destinations and spending the first few hours of the game trying to kill crabs. It’s amazing how a game that really doesn't have a plot can suck you in.

Currently, I'm playing FF VII for the pc after using a fan made XP patch. It actually functions much better then the original Eidos version for Windows 98.

I'm not an adult, and I play rpgs. The reason that it seems that people don't know is because this is Off-Topic, while there is an other games spot. Also, don't be mean to the other people. Silent Hill might not be an rpg, but you don't have to yell at him.

The RPGs I'm playing right now are FFVII, Fable, Neverwinter Nights, and Diablo II. I'll soon play Kingdom Hearts 2. My favs of all time are FF Chronicles, Chrono Cross, and FF Anthology.

Never owned N64,but Siphon Filter was the one that got me hooked.

Yes, I have some RPGs from the PlayStation and PlayStation 2. Didn't get into RPGs (or had any games) until very early into PlayStation way back a decade or so ago.

Star Wars KOR, Neverwinter Nights and Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines.

And from the good old days, the Quest for Glory series :)

I'm not a big fan of video RPGs. I used to spend way too much time playing MUDs, though. Love text adventures. :)

RPG games are my lifeblood.

I have played: FF1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, Crystal Chronicles, Morrowind, Fable, LoZ: Ocarina of Time, LoZ: Majora's Mask, LoZ Wind Waker and some lesser known rpg which are still great.

*edit*

Just read the definition, i missed it before.

I'm suffering from an infestation of clifracers in my local forest. Need to level up my destruction.

It hits right on the nail,I played a long time ago and then somehow I managed to quit, uninstalled the game and later the cd got broken.

My friend, being an evil fiend, slipped Morrowind and its expansions into my school bag a week ago.Now I'm screwed.
