Coffee and cigarettes, breakfast of champions, and a great movie to boot.

I'm 18 and people think I'm anywhere from 25-34. Though granted, I do have a full beard.

Yeah well mine has a few gray hairs! Top that! :p

Well, the only type of smoking I've tried was at a hookah bar. Not even cigarettes.

Smoking is ********, and it wouldn't exactly help my asthma situation

Everybody guess how I voted!!!

I spend nearly every waking employed moment around smoke though.

I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. I avoid messing with my brain psychology unless I have to. Also, I avoid blatantly stupid habits, especially if they are addictive. Why some people just dismiss the obvious dangers of smoking would baffle me if I didn't know how often some people can be short-sighted, deluded, prone to magical thinking, and/or ignorant.

I smoke because someone has to sustain the healthcare system. Tobacco here is heavily taxed, and since revenue from taxes on tobacco greatly exceeds the cost of tobacco related diseases to the health care system, we smokers are subsidizing the health care system for all non-smokers.

Goddamnit, we should be getting statues built of us.

So you are proud that you are delaying re-analysis and meaningful change in our healthcare system? Well, I'm not proud of you.

Take the money and run.

There is no moral ground for you here, move along.

I don't smoke.

I've heard, though, that you're always a smoker, even after you've stopped. I dunno where I've heard it from. Maybe it's a comment on addiction or something.

Well yeah, any addiction you can never truly kick. From the day you quit to the day you die, it's a constant fight to suppress it, even if you manage to go 40 years without the substance in question. Even moreso for much more addictive substances such as heroin.

Nope. Never have. Never will.

im not trolling here seriously im not

i don't think smoking is as bad for you as most say, yes a pack a day will kill you, there is 20 ciggertes in a pack, that is about 1.5 ciggerets consumed in 1 hr,(while you are awake excluding sleep time)
If somebody consumed alchol or even Mcdonalds at that rate then they would be dead sooner than a 1 pack a day smoker.(alchol poisoning/heart dissease)

tobaco has been linked to cancer because it has a chemical in it that degrades start/stop codons in your DNA, which overtime cause your cells to keep multiplying without constraints. (it's got a bunch more stuff to it aswell)

That's something fairly new that people say nowadays: once a drinker always a recovering alcoholic, once you use heroin, you are always a recovering junkie etc... There even used to be an anti-drug commercial that judged people along these lines. Although I am a pack a day smoker so this label doesn't necessarily apply to me.
