I have created the release candidate for DoC 1.16, which you can find here.

This marks the final stage of the release process for 1.16. I will wait a couple of days to collect bug reports should anything come up, but at this point I will only deal with critical problems that impede the functioning of the game. If you have something to contribute via pull request, please let me know now so I can plan for it and decide if I want to include it before or after release.

In the meantime, I will spend some time on making the optional modules compatible and fixing a couple of issues with VD.

You...! I'm in the middle of a campaign as the English after almost an year of absence and you post this?!

I love you but i hate you, Leoreth god danmit :mad:

I do have a minor PR coming. It fixes the display of the amount of turns it takes to construct a railroad when you own Chateau Frontenac.

EDIT:
I will first finish my current game and then will do a fresh pull and make the PR.

Hey, dumb question but when will the big map be done?

IIRC this is planned for v1.17. But it will still take quite some time before a playable version is available.

When 1.16 is released I will make a post about my next plans, as is tradition.

Fine, fine, don't tell us about the plans for 1.17... But please, what are the plans for 1.25? :mischief:
There will be a Minoan and a Hittite civ, right?

DoC 1.25: Venice is removed again once the counter revolution has succeeded

What about DoC 1.3? Will you add Jan Mayen as a Civ, with polar bear units and leaders?

Bug report: In my game, There is no frigate or galleons or workboats for America when it spawns, and a catapult on Pacific coast.

Do you have the starting save (3000 BC or other depending on your scenario)?

Also, please still use the bug reports thread for this.

I've only start a 1700ad scenerio. I will report on bug reports thread next time.

Make sure to enable python exceptions as described in that thread's OP.

I have one more PR coming up, but it can easily wait until after the release. It will contain some missing strategy and pedia texts.

For pedia text, is is okay if I use wikipedia texts and add wikipedia to the credits list?

Wait, are you saying that's not what everyone has been doing since the very beginning anyway?

Yes and yes. There's a lot of wikipedia text in the mod already, properly crediting it is a good idea though.

I think text only PRs are alright anyway, if you get it ready before release just create it.

I don't know if you have a date in mind for release and I don't know when I will finish. So we will see if this will come before or after the release.

Do you want me to delete obsolete texts? Like the Askari (old Ethiopian UU) texts.

I don't, what I mean is if you finish before I release then don't hesitate to make a PR.

And sure, you can delete obsolete texts if you want.
