That typically happens when you download it as a zip from GitHub. If that's the case, try this:

For all files in the Private Maps folder, open them with Notepad++ and use Edit > EOL Conversion > Windows.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have corrected the version number on the download page to 1.17. However the link already pointed to the latest release.

Hi Leoreth, can you add a new version this year? Cananda is ultra powerful in the actual version, and I'd like to have Italy in the 1700s map, and somethign else that the community may need?
