I get them!

Not every day, but every now and then, I get a XP Explorer crash.

I got to tons of sites, and it seems to only happen on post-upgrade CFC.

Anyone else getting this?

PS
My PC system is new and in top condition.

I do, but I put that down to my computer being ****e :) It happens when i'm on CFC, and the only other programs running are mIRC, MSN messenger, and Zonealarm. Maybe Winamp...

I don't have any crashes when browsing CFC or anywhere else. occasionally I have to close IE when I open CFC but I think thats something to do with changing what I am viewing whilst the pop up is being killed.

Haven't had problems, but use Firefox.

I better clear all cookies or update my EI and see if that helps!

I'm using IE btw so I don't believe its browser related unless its a specific version...

Hmm, IE does every once in a while freeze while loading a page on this site. Through I think this is more releated to the mac as I haven't see it at home on my PC. :hmm:

I believe that Curt also uses an adblocker since he recommended one in another thread.

When I am using IE, I get tons of problems, not just relating to CFC.

I use Mozilla though, so no crashes for me!!!

Thats probably because something else has gotten onto your system and slowed down IE.

I am behind two levels of Zonealarm, and my system is part of a network - So the hacker issue is unlikely.

I reckon it is a conflict caused by one of the many strange pop-up windows that appear and disappear ( I have panicware pop-up stopper) when getting PMs.

There are many iffy programs running in telefragged's adverts.

I believe spyware and malware is also at play here.

Curt. The malware has probably jacked your win explorer. Block win explorer access to the internet on the zone alarm control centre - you can do this by left clicking on the access cartoons and change them from either the green ticks or blue question marks to the red crosses. This will force the malware to ask for permission to access the internet on its ownsome without hiding behind win explorer and then you can smack that critter ;)

Cheers!

I had thought of this, but I was worried that solutuon might affect EI proper.

Here's hoping!
