Does anyone here actually put these things on their pizza?

Yeah of course, my last pizza only had anchovies. Then again I will eat almost anything. I draw the line at eyeballs etc, and things like that doner, chips and mayo pizza. :yuck:

+1 for gammon, but I prefer the fried egg accompaniment

I will eat anchovies on a pizza if they are there, but wouldn't ask for them.

parma ham, chillies and mushrooms (sliced thin and not too many) is enough for me.

If I found a raw egg on my pizza I would suspect a kitchen accident/practical joke as I have never heard of such a thing.

It might have been partially cooked.. it was runny.

It's a gourmet thing, maybe specific to Germany? *shrug*

Whats mayo pizza?

I have pizza with garlic mayonaisse regularly, and its the best possible condiment to have with pizza.

Do you have doner meat, chips and mayo pizza though?

I would destroy that at 3am on a Saturday night.

Never seen it here though.

You get eggs on pizzas in Macedonia

I've tasted them before, they are basically just fish oil and salt, but I can't see why anyone would consider this a good topping for a pizza. Seeing as we have quite a few nationalities here, is this a choice any of you make?
I love em, but you have to be moderate. On a whole pizza, 4 or 5 of these guys will do :)

Anchovies have a strong flavour, like Pepperoni, jalapenos, and certain kinds of cheese. If you like pizzas with a strong flavour, anchovies might work for you.

Personally, I love pizzas with strong flavours. Anchovies work for me. Not too many, though, obviously!

I like anchovies on pizza now and then, but you have to be careful not to overdo it. A few are great as seasoning, too many and it gets too salty.

I've never seen a raw egg on pizza in Germany - cooked eggs, yes, sometimes, though it's not my favorite topping.
We're not all pizza barbarians in Germany...

When I saw this topic's title, I thought it was going to be about something weird, not a regular topping like anchovies. I don't like anchovies, but they are not an unusual pizza ingredient.

You want weird? My local pizza place makes Mars Bar pizzas.

This wrong :p

mars bars should be deep fried in batter

I never had it but I have fear that taste of these fishs will overchange any other taste.
Food is about harmony of tastes. Thats why many people dont understand how should somone like simple Margherita.

In Leningrad during WW2 they made pizza on rats, mice, cats and dogs. Now, that´s gross...

Dogs are eaten pretty regularly in most of Asia. In Korea its extremely common and on most eatery menus.
