What I am referring to in particular is the "friendly sentry" function. You know, the one that is activated by any unit that passes it. I set a unit on this, and I move another unit on top of him and the one on sentry is not activated. What gives? How do you use this right?

I wish there was a way to have them trigger your own units. I could really use this.. :/

This may seem like a dumb question, but what exactly is the Sentry function?

Using the Icons or the "Y" key you may put a unit on "Sentry". He will then remain dormant until another Unit nears him when (according to how you have set the preferences) he will awake and be available for further orders.

In preferences turn on the "show advanced unit action buttons" - I feel that you are missing out on a few possible actions.

Thanks for that. I already had the advanced unit action buttons displayed, but I didn't know what the Sentry function actually did.
