Fishheads, kinda strange to say this, but hope your game was not going well, that would hurt even more. So do you have a good support network to see you through this time of traumatic loss? Don't be afraid to seek professional help. After all, you want to have your grief behind you by April 1, for GOTM#3!! Only 26 more days.

What is done is done and there is nothing you can do about it, but you can download the GotM#2 again and install Civ2 on your computer again and then play once more!!!
I'm pretty sure that nobody in here has anything against that.

The problem is that he knows the map, and that's <u>very</u> useful information; anyone who has played the game knows that. you can't ignore this, even if you want to.

The trouble is that, if Fishheads plays again and he gets a high (GOTM) score, everyone will yell "But he knew the map from the beginning! That's not fair!". But if he plays again and gets a low score, no one will complain. He may only sit mum. Then what's the point in playing?

Fishheads, I think you'd better just wait till the next GOTM.

What!!!! Were not allow to look at the map and replay it!!!

Well I guess you can take my GOTM score of 1 out then.

I'm joking of course. I wouldn't cheat (or at least admit cheating....with a sorry score like I got ). I actually played the last 15 turns again (of the first GOTM), taking a very different route, nuked London, caused a civil war, etc...and still got the same score.

But Fish should play it anyway.....even if it's just for fun. But making him wait another 26 days for another GOTM seems like torture!!!

Look, I don't mind. He may replay if you ask it to me personally. But as administrator (<IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif" border=0>) I have a responsibility (<IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/lol.gif" border=0>). Fishheads may replay, but I want <u>no one</u> complaining to me afterwards, if he did well. If someone does have a problem with this, say it right <u>here</u>, right <u>now</u>. When I wake up tomorrow (2:30 AM in New York), I'll look at what everyone has said and decide finally.

Well, I missed the entire Should-He-Be-Allowed-To-Replay discussion (you forget, Matrix, that some of us don't spend every waking moment in here <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/wink.gif" border=0> ), but maybe you could add a note to his new game in the results page, especially if he does really well, that it was a restart? The GOTM is supposed to be mostly for fun, so don't want to make too much of the scoring.

oh no i wasn't going to play it over again lol, I HATE DOING THING OVER AGAIN.. drives me insane.. besides i spend a good many hours playing that.. probyl like a good 20 hours.. something i don't want to do all over agian.. not to mention i would already know what to do and that would be kinda cheap


at least i got my computer fixed :_)
and lot's of RAM! oh baby 512 megs.. i should buy some more next month! maybe another 256, i got another slot

actually it's 528 megs.. dunno where that extra bit comes from?
