A lot has changed since the last Domestic Report, a week ago. We are now at war with the Iroquois, have hurried the UN building with our Great Leader, are now studying Computers, and have seen our beloved city of PDX fall from first place to eighth place on the Best Cities List. We are still growing by leaps and bounds as new cities jockey for position on that list. We also still have close to 3000 gold in the Bank. The decisions made for the next chat will be difficult ones.
We have the SETI Wonder coming up, followed by the Cure for Cancer and Longevity Wonders or the Apollo Program. We are still developing our Northern and Southern cities and will have to focus on rebuilding PDX. Because of these things, The Domestic Department does not believe Mobilization is the best option for Phoenatica. We cant lock ourselves into a situation where we will have building restrictions governing our production for a length of time that may be controlled by another domino effect. Lets stick with independent production queues, but focus on the Military. Tanks, Infantry, Bombers, Fighters, and Transports will all be necessary components of a winning strategy. Cities with barracks should certainly focus on Military production after their current build queue is finished. The Domestic Department has posted Offerings to cities throughout Phoenatica to help clear current projects. Governors please check the Budget Requests thread for Offerings to your cities.
With the current Offerings totaling 75% of the bank, we will be lowering the Science rate to 60% initially. This will not only give funds for the emergency Military needs (sure to come) but also to help with rushing improvements in PDX later on.
The Domestic Department stands with Phoenatica in its struggle with the Iroquois. Hopefully our Eastern borders will expand, bringing us new cities and Cultures. Beyond this, our glorious Nation moves forward to the Interstellar Colonization Project and our own Cultural advancement.
