We currently only have 2 provinces, and many cities in each. So, to lighten the burden on our governors, we could consider splitting them up a bit further. As far as I know, this pic contains the current provincial boundaries.

Now, as for how to split it up, let's see a few opinions, I'll make my own version up in a bit, and see which we like the best. I'm think about 4-5 provinces total.

I believe a poll was made that make use of zyxy and Furiey's suggestion on the new provinces. Just that the poll was passed just after the election started. Can we have a mid term election for governors? I don't see why we can't do that.

We realy should divide up the provinces more. By the looks of the map, we can easely have 4 1/2 provinces.

Normaly, when new provinces are created. The president has the power to appoint people to the office.

You could "chop it off" (the new province) where that mountain is 1 tile between both seas. It'd also give 1 more position someone can run for... (this is one boring map! And this is exactly the reason why I said to use small provinces for 80% land -- I drew up a provincial chart for just this case back in DG2...).

By now, it would be good to pull out that old dusty chart and reform our provinces :).

I don't really need it, but I also don't object to chopping off a bit of Middle-Earth. Of course, Fanashire is much bigger by now, and probably could use a subdivision.

It's very likely that any new provinces will be very corrupt, and not much fun to govern. So larger provinces might be good actually...

Fanashire has like 30 cities, if you count all the conqueroring cities. I would like to have all the cities north of Striders Haven and Kingdom Hearts to be another province. The mountain range seperates Middle Earth from Fanashire.

Ok, here's the way it was proposed last time.

This could work well still, maybe push the borders further north. Opinions?

Ahh, yes. That look much better :D.

Province 5 is huge in this plan. You need more borders out east, I think. How many provinces do we want? And should the corrupt ones be larger than the non-/less corrupt ones?

Looks better, but what about the other half that's now under the fog? (BTW, I think it's kind of late to make the new provinces now... the game is nearing completion...).

We still have some 150 turns to go, so it's definitely not too late for extra provinces.

Here is a proposal for 4 provinces. It leaves Middle-Earth as it was, and reduces Fanashire to its traditional region. The two new provinces are fairly to totally corrupt, but of course will get a lot of rushes:

Now that looks like a good map. Sure provinces 3 and 4 are basically totally corrupt, but the governors will get to play around with civil engineers, cops, and rushes. We better get this poll up soon, so we can get new governors and no election complications.
