Good start Ororo.
Turn 0
We have 212g -2gpt at 100% science. 16 turns to Compass. We are in Slavery, but don't appear to have used the whip yet. Santiago switches to building a Work Boat and whips. Barcelona switches to Monument, we will need all the culture we can get to work tiles around this city before French/Roman culture creeps closer.
Turn 1
Madrid finishes Library, starts Worker. Santiago finishes Work Boat, starts Monument. Barcelona whips Monument.
Trade Horse to Rome for Copper + 2gpt. Trade Cow to Greece for 2gpt. We are going to hook up more of each of these resources eventually and effectively the ones we have just traded away are surplus to our needs. May as well cash in.
Turn 2
An event results in the citizens of Paris gifting food to the citizens of Barcelona.
Monument built in Barcelona, start Library. Whip Monument in Santiago. Whip Worker in Madrid. Our Longbow destroys a Barbarian Swordsman in the Ruhr. I think that might be our last free victory against the barbs.
Turn 3
Madrid finishes Worker, starts Forge. All those good hammers nearby should be multiplied ASAP. Santiago finishes Monument, starts Galley. Meet Germany. Gift 10g and Open Borders.
Turn 4
Our Longbow in Bulgaria kills a Barbarian Horse Archer whilst defending. Santiago whips Galley.
Turn 5
Germany flips the Roman city near the Albanian Copper which cancels our deal with Rome. Trade Horse to Rome for Stone + Clam + Wine +2gpt instead.
Santiago builds Galley, starts Library. France is happy, and prepared to part with 20g (10 turns of peace). Chopping of forests commences near Santiago.
Turn 6
Our Galley passes by the Independent Christian city of Rusadir in North Africa, which is defended by just a single Spearman. Meet Babylon and Open Borders. Gift Babylon 10g, they become Pleased and are prepared to gift us 1gpt (10 turns of peace). We have a common war enemy (Arabia) and if we get good enough relations with Babylon, we might be able to trade techs with them as they have several that we don't have and vice versa. Meet Vikings and Open Borders.
Turn 7
Load Swordsmen onto Galley. Gift Currency to Babylon to improve relations, but sadly no tech trading. Babylon is Christian.
Turn 8
Santiago finishes Library, starts Work Boat. Capture an Independent Worker on the Wheat near Rusadir.
Disembark remaining Swordsman next to Rusadir. Barcelona whips Library. Request 30g from Rome (10 turns of peace).
Turn 9
Barcelona finishes Library, starts Warrior (we will need some happiness patrol duties in Madrid soon). Santiago whips Work Boat. Pillage mine outside of Rusadir for 17g.
Turn 10
Santiago finishes Work Boat and starts Courthouse. Barcelona finishes Warrior and starts another (more happiness patrol needed in Santiago also). Our Galley sinks an injured barb Trireme near Pompeii. Melilla (formerly Rusadir) is captured. Madrid whips a Forge. Buy Calendar from France for 315g.
