just finished playing another game ,
i personally prefer hub maps , since they allow you to defend a single path towards your home cities (land wise)
also i use win XP sp2 and have a 256MB ram video card
2 more things i noticed :
-assault mech (the classic ones) are buged , not in their function but their graphics and effects on the game overall
( their image tend to "stick" to airplanes , subs , other big units ,making the game very slow as they rotate endlessly around cities along with intercepting planes , also any stack that has an AM in it will disappear from view , tho you can still use it if you remember where you left it , and click on the "empty " land plot)
i think you could use another skin for them , [BTS extended ]has a much more friendly mech skin , which is smaller and doesnt cause graphic problems , or you could be creative and make them a skin
walkers would be great , but dont have blitz .. nor can they get it.
would like 3 dreads per civ tho , since late cities have huge % of defence.
-also , arcologies with advanced shields will cause huge CPU slowdowns , perhaps you could just use the normal non-rotating shields , its the effect that matters.
maybe you could adapt few scenarios for your mod ,
machine guns should have bonus vs melee and mounted (historically)
Amechs shouldnt get defensive bonuses (as they are too tall to hide in the bushes)
