That is a heck of a lot more than we were asking for - you bet we will take that in a second. Of course, killercane will probably come to his senses (or be beaten to a pulp by his teammates) before sending that. Based on our proposed 40% price, it should be Gunpowder and 720 gold for Banking and Astronomy.

2 - find out what exactly their relationship with KISS is.
... are they trading (of course they are)but for how long?
... are they swapping intel?
... are they coordinating their attack?
3 - will they be increasing their military strength?
... what are their plans for TNT?
... maybe suggest backing off and leaving it for KISS (but I will only suggest)
4 - present our Silk plans.
... outline the benefits for Nuts and our plan to offer lux swap.
... invite them to secure their own Silks if they want with a promise to NOT to build culture in our Silk city.
5 - Domestic Intel
... what slider value Nuts are set at.
... what research level Nuts can manage.

MIA would be more than very happy to send you both technologies if that is your desire.
Gunpowder next turnI have already started constructing variously sized mortars for an aerial display that will not only light up the very heavens above Athens, but of a magnitude that you in Nut Land will surely be able to see and hear.
Our condition of course will be that ALL the other clauses are agreed to ... which is just a formality if I am not mistaken
I will be on AIM for a while so chat when you can.
We await your instructions but will send Astronomy if we don't hear anything to the contrary.

... It will probably ease off any tension the founding of our Spice city will generate.
... It is still more than the 40% value of techs that we originally envisioned (which I raised from 33%)
... finally, it will give us all warm fuzzies
Oh and any volunteers to write up an official document that we send for official seals

My opinion: Let's keep our warm fuzzies limited to warm fuzzy language. I say, pour on the butter when you're talking to them – but let's get all the gold out of them that we can!

We can put to them that we will ensure a Saltpeter trade if they lose it and as we are already there, we want to keep it from KISS.

That trade is no good - we already started Chemistry. I wouldn't tell Dnuts this, but we also want to push the tech pace, and we can get Chemistry much faster than they could.
There is no other useful tech that either of us can research right now. If they want to trade for Banking instead of buying it, then we can trade Banking plus gold for Military Tradition as long as they promise to deliver it by turn 163.

Looks like TNT are losing cities left and right, is this all KISS or were you also involved in the latest?
In a couple of days, I will be sending a document to which you will attach your team seal. It will list the Gunpowder for Astronomy swap and all the non-aggression, anti-KISS clauses.
Regarding your recent offer, unfortunately due to swiftness of the turns it arrived to us after we had sent the save on
We have already begun researching Chemistry and would lose too many beakers to abandon it now.
However, we can present an additional option if you do not wish to pay 1400 gold for Banking (can be sent in installments). This will be that you research Military Tradition, we would like this to be available no later than Turn 163. It is best for our alliance to utilise MIA's scientific trait rather than to stall at this stage, we aim for both of us to create the largest technology lead possible.
In the interim, we can discuss the final points of knowledge trading.
Have also noted that a luxury Dye trade with KISS has ended, may we ask your intentions regarding this?

GW is right about it being 1400 for Banking, but it's a little tricky with the gold costs - we pay 40% of the difference between Banking and Military Tradition or they pay about 90% of the cost of Banking 
. I'm not arguing, we just have to be a little careful, but they were the ones who suggested 1400 gold for Banking so we should be OK.
EDIT - I think I'd just leave it as Banking plus gold for MT, and deal with the exact amount of gold later.
