Doughnut Files Term 7 - 9

The sooner we send Chemistry, the sooner the Nuts can start on Metallurgy.

Also - the Nuts have been very good about sending things with accept - even while negotiations were still going! I think we should return that good-faith by sending Chem right away.

It's better for both teams to get Metallurgy asap.
(Banking we can send when they are closer to having the money)

I don't think we need to worry over-much about KISS finding out about the alliance. I mean... what are they going to do anyway?

As long as the Nuts aren't total back-stabbers (we don't have any reason to believe they are. Slippery... maybe. But they have no special love for KISS either) then there is really nothing KISS can do about this. They are on the losing end of a 2v1 alliance. (evil laughter)

I will send this to Doughnuts ... killer PM and g-mail

Thank you for the information. This seals our friendship for long to come.

Killer

Nice Note ... thanks :D

Sent this
Good to read as in the spirit of long term friendship we have sent you Chemistry early, this was decided prior to the embassy shots :D

Also please be aware that we saw 3 pikes near Mezza a turn or two ago ... they may return to the city by the time you attack it.

Nuts are hemming us in with recent settling !!!

I propose to send a request to chat ... we need a link to the coast.

I don't like what they have done considering that we sent Chemistry early

actually - they are saving us some trouble - now we just need to connect our town to their road network to get our silks out.

We can turn one of our settler builds into a Trebuchet :D

Just ask for 1 more city, so we can get a coastal route off the island. Asking for more is not nessecary, and tbh im surprised they took our settling so well in the first place.

I'm thinking near the Saltpeter ... but I must go for couple hours (to shop/pub) ... so await further suggestions ... but a chat to clarify intentions is best.

I don't want suddenly to lose supplies if they decide to stab the back :mischief:

I don't like their location for Mauch Chunk. There was absolutley no reason for overlapping culture there. I fear they may rush culture in Mauch Chunk to squeeze our town and try to flip it. Perhaps it is worth reminding them that our culture is cheaper to rush if they want to fight over those tiles.

On the positive side, I am surprised they put down settlers on the west coast where they did instead of walking all the way to the saltpeter. Of course, they may have other settlers on their way to the saltpeter, but right now it looks as if they are actually letting us take it. I think we may want a town by the saltpeter, and another town between the Eureka Stockade and saltpeter town as a connector. Unfortunately, that means we will grab 3 silks, but the Dnuts are forcing our hand.

Regardless, I think we need to keep comminicating clearly with them so there are no surprises (either way).

Did I not warn you guys that this sort of thing would happen? :shake:

Getting in a culture war is something that I do not want get involved in because it will mean that we will lose focus on the war that we really need to be having.

Just rush a Lib in Eureka. Its not going to cost us too much, and that should be all we need to out culture Nuts (unless they want to build a lib and a temple in a jungle town)

Sent to Nuts ... g-mail and killer PM

Title ... Chat Request
Dear Doughnut Friends

We request a chat to discuss your recent and future settlement plans on the west coast, we are hoping that they include our requirement for a coastal link for Eureka Stockade.

Could you indicate a couple of preferences in times (GMT) and days, this way we will ensure the a representative is available.

We also assume that D-nuts were as strangely perplexed regarding the TNT micromanagement strategy as we were ;)

killer has posted the turn 6 hours ago.

He has received Chemistry early and unpaid for :(
A promise to send 720 gold in 3 turns ... 2 turns now.

We sent a request to get back with us with chat times convenient to him along with a polite (very polite) note about the rapid hemming in of Eureka Stockade ... by Homer's Surprise, Tiao and Mauch Chunk.

We were offered 150 gold AND Gems once they were connected, they were already connected during the time we chatted. Therefore we are still waiting !!! ... although the reasoning maybe that those Gems have another purpose and are ear marked for KISS.
* Something else to discuss in chat

Therefore without a chat we have 2 turns to wait until we know for sure if we have been back stabbed ...

I checked g-mail and PM ... NO REPLY ... I hate being in this position.

Anyone else smelling off doughnuts ???

Let's play nice for now. It really should not be worth it to them to completely blow their reputation for 720 gold. There is also nothing we would do differently in the next 2 turns if they are breaking our deal. We can afford to wait.

We simply have to be aware that they are not our friends or allies by any definition, but let's not do anything that will jeopardize our ability to work together just yet.
