Downloading to a Mac

ok,what I do with that "N" file is I compress it again with dropstuff and then decompress it.That seems to put it in order.I don't think thats the "best" solution but it works.

You want to end up with one of these "dog's ear" files

I would recommend getting IE 5 for mac from download.com.This site,for one,runs much better thru IE than Netscape.

when we recompress with Drop stuff and then expand again we get a exact copy
of the " N " we compressed. After clicking it we get the same old
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Thanks for the info about the other browser but that is not going to happen.

Its probably something in your preferences that is saving it that way.You want to save it as text.

I tend to agree about IE but it does work much better as compared to Netscape 4.74.There is room for both on my comp.
