DPII's Unit Previews

Ah, well, then... with regards to the Korean War Wagon, I'd still like somebody to show whether or not these actually existed.

But if they are speculative, then I'd at least like to see the reasons why the Koreans in particular would've developed armored, horse-drawn wagons.

And thank you again for the support. I do appreciate it. Especially if it's honest and straightforward. :thanx:

Yes, the Zebra Warrior/Rider has been completed... but I still have to make the FLICs. I've been working hard on the revised Hwarang these last few days, and when I finish that, I'm going to try and make the FLICs for all my quasi-completed units in one shot.

I'll tell you, no offense to the Villista, but I wanted a real Aztec rifleman. I just couldn't use him anymore.

This fellow is much more to my style... ;)

It's the new redcoat.

Now before I get criticism of taking on too much, I'd just like to say that this was in order to test out my modeling skills, refining my techniques for my boats... I designed the hat myself. Very simple. Based off of pictures of Aztec warriors.

But this guy is going to the back of the line :D

I'd think that by the time the Azteks had Riflemen, theyed have true uniforms as well, even if they are a variant of the Jaguar Warrior's outfit. Or perhaps and multi-colored version of the Rifleman's outfit. Theres a fictional Jaguar Infantry in Rise of Nations, although thats an infantry replacement.

Looking good DPII!

I like it the way it is. "Uniforms" derived from varying historical forces, with the ultimate result being able to tell friend from foe on the battlefield. As long as this hypothetical rifleman's opponents looked different, and they all looked the same, then it IS for all intents and purposes a uniform.

Well, this hat reminded me a lot of the British hats of the late 1700s and Napoleonic Wars, so I figured that'd fit reasonably well. But perhaps other people didn't get that vibe.

Also, I think this could be a "true" uniform as well. It's a one-piece uniform, and looks different from the European-style uniforms, but it could still be a uniform.

I see no reason why the aztec rifflemen should be waring a uniform or anything.. keep him as he is, maybe just add a bit of color with feathers here or there.

Well, actually, I didn't completely concoct this on my own. While the idea of having him with a flintlock was certainly my doing, the uniform is in fact based on Aztec design:

But here, I made some changes. I added a little more civ-specific color, and I gave him a backpack and boots.
