Just checked bol.de.. they still have the 20th as the release date, too. But i won't bet on it.
But what really surprises me at bol is the price for bts. 23,98 Euros instead of 29,99. That's a nice price. Maybe I should cancel my preorder from amazon.

Anyway - I'm in Australia. And the games store (big chain - can be found in the US aswell) has confirmed that BEYOND THE SWORD (not Gold Edition) can be picked up on the 18th.

Maybe thats when they get stock, and they got it wrong - I dont know - but Wednesday the 18th in Australia I will advise (which is Tuesday night for you guys because of Timezones differences) if I got it or not.

Hmmm. That seems a little suspect. I can see the person who told you getting it confused with Gold - dispite the clarification you were given.

I'm in Australia too. Does anyone have a decisive, confirmed and consistant date for Australia? I had it in my head that it would be a week after the Civfanatic's countdown, as it was with previous releases. I didn't expect it to be this close.

Sorry long time reader of the forums, I'm in Australia as well have been told it is coming out on the 18th as well and my store has been acccurate so far.
It will be a very interesting wednesday, i think.

God I hope so. As usual I'm working all weekend so it'd be great to have a few days with the game rather than pick it up friday and then stew about not being able to play it

Yeah, bol.com has one of the lowest prices for BTS.
I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping my copy arrives on the 20th though.
Although it wouldn't be to be if it take another week. I'm pretty busy anyway.

Apparently, Europe seems to be getting it on Friday 20th according to just about any retail site. Could someone from Firaxis / Taketwo if they are browsing confirm the worldwide release dates? Pls

Oh by the way hate to point this is out but this has happened before in aus with BF2142. Came out a day before everywhere else, none of the official servers were up, very funny though. Maybe we are the lucky country, lol.

Yeah, I agree. I'd love to be left alone in a room with a software pirater or a spammer....

It may not mean that much to most people, but it has a whole new meaning when you build something that you're actually proud of. Then the thought of it being pirated actually becomes disgusting.
