Earth 1942 AD: World War II-for BTS!

there are Finnish troops in Central and Southern Russia
Not Finnish - Axis.

That's not what I meant; I know there are Axis allies present. I'll rephrase: Where are the Finnish troops? They should be besieging Leningrad and pressing on the Soviet border. (If I'm not mistaken, the siege of Leningrad lasted some 900 days, and wasn't lifted until 1944.)

A really big update: (Version 1.0)
Replaced the Jewish Agency with Free France
Changed the Ally colonies to Lowland colonies
Added Saint Helena as a Zuid Afrikan stadt (With my limited Dutch)
Revolutionized entire Free French\Lowland army
Added Djibouti as a Vichy city
added Oranjestad, a Suriname city and Banjul as Lowland cities
Jerusalem and Baghdad are British
Changed USSR and UK names
Added Finnish siege in Leningrad
Changed some military in the North African campaign
Noumea is the capital of Free France
Added some buildings in all cities
changed some Partisan units
Removed and added some population in cities
Some more changes that I can't remember

Cool! Sounds like quite an improvement. Will check it out ASAP. (Just checked the DL page, but there's no mention of an update.);)

I'm being derated after every patch, first it was A+, then B+ and now C+.
The one that rates this scenario: can you tell me the reason? I just want to know what is wrong.

That's really screwy!:crazyeye: IMO it gets better with each update. (Wish I could help you out, but my vote's already in there...)

Over 1000 downloads, 3 stars and good comments... so can anyone rate this scenario for being better than before :(?

That's werid, it has a "B" rating but it's still 3 stars it shoul'd be 4.

the Irish were vehemently anti-British during WW II (I believe they joined neither side)

Thats not true the Irish were nuetral. They did however give Britain a hand. British pilots who crashed in Ireland "somehow" escaped across the border while the Germans were impriosined. The Irish fire service also helped when Belfast was bombed and the Irish gave weather reports the the allies which were crucial during ww2

Btw very good scenario, not as good as your others but still great.

hey, i still get the old problem. Let's take a look.
I play as Nazi German, and scout USSR, England,Italy territory by bomber each turn. No offense made by my side.(all unit stand by the original position)
Here is the result of 1942 Feb.
USSR power 1942 Feb.JPG
england power 1942 Feb.JPG
Italy power 1942 Feb.JPG

and Mar, we can see the units in the same territory reduce...I didnt attack any of them, neither their land army attacked mine.
USSR power 1942 Mar.JPG
england power 1942 Mar.JPG
Italy power 1942 Mar.JPG

Apr, the situation go even harder for stalin...
USSR power 1942 Apr.JPG
England power 1942 Apr.JPG
Italy power 1942 Apr.JPG

here is the power curve of each country...
Feb-Apr Eng & USS power decline.JPG

here my question is, USSR & Eng's power will decline sharply in the begining several months, may be due to large deficit...how to stop this kind of suicide?

I think that the AI can't handle his currency and his units go on strike.
I can't fix AI stupidity.

I explained it many times on my other threads, I can't change game settings without making the scenario into a mod. if you want a WW2 mod, play "Road to War"

Been playing this scenario non-stop for a week now, it's excellent! Exactly what I was looking for in terms of a WWII scenario, something close to real Civ4 rules, playable and realistic but not TOO detailed, a most impressive combo. I've been playing America on Prince level, attempting to squash the Germans completely while I can. I've noticed a few things that work out very well with the unchanged rules I think you'd appreciate:
  • America starts with such a huge military it's already paying for (roughly 50 gpt) that there's a big incentive to re-arrange the units you already have, rather than simply pump out tanks/infantry you might not need later.
  • I always knew the Japanese would make the most out of their Protective Civ trait in the right WWII scenario. The Pacific theatre was incredibly tough for it, since only my Marines could storm those islands and coastal cities without wasting a turn on landing my tanks/paratroopers.
  • Some interesting things happened diplomatically; I made peace with the Axis and utilized their cities as airbases for my ever-increasing fighter/bomber groups, Russia got pounded and made peace with Germany, making the Western front the ONLY front and really hampering my war with them, Brazil started a war with Free France, and I took on several Civs as vassals (including Japan, Lowlands, Arabia and South Africa).
  • It makes little sense to keep a bunch of dinky cities surrounded by your allies' culture, so several African and Balkan cities were quickly transferred over to my weaker allies who weren't in danger of losing them again (though I kept most of South East Asia, North Africa and Europe for myself), who in turn just LOVED me.
  • So far have at least 4 Warlords on the front lines, with plans for 2 more by the time the war ends against Germany and their new vassals, Vichy France and Italy (neither of which will break away from Germany and switch sides although they've been cornered to East Africa).
  • Didn't get to the Pentagon OR United Nations. :( Also not nearly so much of a Corporation producer as I might have thought. In Rhye's and Fall of Civilization America tends to be a Great Person super-producer, so it was a little disappointing. Still trying for Manhattan Project but it's going to take FOREVER (read: 20+ turns) even with my top producing city on the job, and Great Engineers can't even contribute.
  • Because of the lack of scripted events/AI changes, the AI behaves exactly how it does in a normal game of Civ and, in my humble opinion, how nations in real life would as well. So Free France and Lowlands have little to no chance of ever gaining a foothold on their own in Europe, or ever getting their cities back... so what? This is the way it might have played out in history had the Germans stayed and everyone got used to them, at least for a time. Or maybe America liberated the cities and put them under administrative control, it's possible, so it's possible in-game. I like that.
Because of the relative size of the smaller, less involved Civs, I'm thinking of playing them and having my own smaller wars play out on the sides, just to see how it goes. Or even try Free France/Lowlands colonies, they look like even they can have fun in a smaller way! I'm having the time of my life with this scenario, and I'll be back with more updates whether anyone reads them or not.
