Someone saw my other map, and asked me if I could please pretty please use the original civs but add the new ressources. I said OK.

Anyway, here is a screenshot :

I recommend starting this map as a custom scenario and choosing what options you like best. If you want to play it exactly as I do here is what is enabled by default on this map :
  • All victory options (time, conquest, domination, cultural, diplomatic and space victory)
  • GAMESPEED_MARATHON
  • NO_CITY_RAZING
  • FLIPPING_AFTER_CONQUEST
  • AGGRESSIVE_AI
  • NO_TECH_TRADING

Now the details :
- Barbarian cities are PRE-MADE, wich doesn't mean more won't pop-up. Destroy them and keep settlers for critical ressources (get the early tech too ).
- No goody huts are on this map. Conquering barbarian cities gives you pre-made cities and some techs, the game is fast enough as it is. Besides goody huts are lame.

- Civilizations for this map are the ones originally found with CivIV
- As for the new ressources (tried historical accuracy exept for sulfur):
  • Pearls are exclusively found in Japaneese waters and Australian waters
  • Sulfur is found pretty much anywhere, but the pacific ring of fire (volcano zone) is particularly abundant with sulfur (and yes, i'm spelling it right).
  • Cotton is found in Egypt, India/Pakistan and South America (Mexico, Peru).
  • Natural gas is very abundant and can be found pretty much anywhere.
  • Coffee in upper portion of South America (Mexico..) and in Arab lands.
  • Salt : here and there, but the Scots have some of course, Egypt too, other places.

This map now called "Original". My other map is found HERE is the one with the alternate civs and leaders.

EDIT : V1.1 has some more coal... the V1.0 was missing some.

I have been tinkering around with notepad and i have actually subbed in other civs but in a very basic manner and for what i have in mind i don't have the experience quite yet...I'm actually wondering if u could or rather would be interested in helping me create a modern war on terror mod?? But this probably isn't the right forum right?

I made a few very minor changes (mostly added coal). I just finished playing the map and it was a great game.

Btw, is any1 using this map? How was your experience playing it?

Sure! no problem. You might want to use the original map made by niust tough... it wont have the Sevomod ressources in it.

Guillaume: Maybe this is a noob question, but how come none of the civ's have the appropriate starting tech?

gosh i cant believe how noobish black snake is
he is such a noob for asking that question

A newbie is a newcomer to a particular field, the term being commonly used on the Internet, where it might refer to new, inexperienced, or ignorant users of a game, a newsgroup, an operating system or the Internet itself. The term is generally regarded as an insult, although in many cases more experienced/knowledgeable people use it in purposes of negative reinforcement, urging "newbies" to learn more about the field or area in question.

Variant spellings, such as newb, nub, noob, nooblet, foob, noobcake and, in Leetspeak(1337), n00b are numerous and common in Internet use. The term newb itself is usually used to refer to a person who is new to the field in question, whereas noob is used as an insult.

u r 1 of the following if not all

("newb", "knob" , "nub", "noob", "no0b", "n00b", "nib", "nibblins", "Frodo Nibblins", "fruity noob", "newblet(s)", "nub sauce", "nubz", "nubcakes", "nublich", "nubzorz", "Niblit", "nob", "nab", "naab", and "nublets") in an attempt to reduce flame wars. This has, of course, led to more variations, such as "s00b", "ch00b", "fr00b" and "gl00b". It has also led to numerous character-swap versions such as "n()()b" and "n|_|b"

as to your question

i dont know
