eBay: Autographed Civ

wow, i wish that was cheaper, if it was and was C3C or the priginal civ, i might very well be tempted...

Korossyl:
Now that you've told everyone about it here I'm sure the price will go up ;), I wish you would have just PM'ed ME about it...

Wow, and Sid isn't even that hard to convince to autograph stuff.

Yeah, I even got an autographed (and his thumbprint where he smeared my username a bit) from Sid Meier.

It's for charity, too, sop mthe bidders may be donating as well. But where's the signed bomber jacket?

It only sold for ~$150?!?
I would pay more than that! (not like I actually have $150 to begin with, but still...)

Wow, so all I have to do to make some quick money is ask Sid to sign some stuff and sell it on e-bay. It's not like he charges for his signature.

Yeop I saw it and was one of the first to bid for it. Until I saw that they wouldn't accept sending it over to Spain. My first and only bid was 50 bucks, which was quickly surpassed two days later. I would have paid gladly more if it weren't for that legal restriction where they would only ship it within the US, otherwise it would have been mine for sure, evil chuckle... :devil2:

Hey Warpstorm, if you know the guy and can get him to autograph a civ3 game of the year edition dedicated to me (I'd give you my real name) we can speak business anytime you want ;)

I think the fact it's for charity may have bumped that price up quite a bit...

Errm, nope. The fact HE had signed on those items made me bid for it. I think devotion for the "Master" made it happen. I admire Sid Meier a lot for creating such wonderful games. And naturally for being the father of Civ.

There are other auctions for charity and some of them didn't make such nice prices, others even made more OTH.

Don't get me wrong, Sid Meier is probably the single most famous name when it comes to game design. And clearly I love Civ3, as I loved Civ2 before it (and still do).

But that strikes me as a little extreme...

Then again, I guess some of the people around here are a little extreme ;)

(I'm going to shut up now, before I offend this entire community :p )

It's over now.....
Winning bid: US $152.50

I think I would have offered 153 dollars ;) .

Ooh... I can see this going on for a while here...

Maybe if somebody gets a message to Sid that you'd pay that much, he might be able to make some more money for the kiddies :)

Yeah well, i kinda want to repay all the fun he's given me along all these years and I guess the fact it was for charity kinda like made me feel less guilty about it. But still, I would have like to have had it, if it hadn't been 'cause I live in good old Europe.

Aghhhhh !! Zild, illuminatus, bring the stake, light the bombfire, there's an heretic here at civFANATICS. Just kidding pal, ermm, where's my lighter gone, umm ?
