Editing buildings in cities

I'm wondering if there's a fast way to edit buildings in cities. Context is a scenario I'm working on, starting in the 1830's on a worlf map. So obviously, there's ALOT of cities on the map...

In civ IV I could enter the file with a text editor, copy and paste a city-list underneath each city. Doesn't work with V though....

same problem here working on a scenario with about 200+citys to add buildings to all of them would take almost a week and many packs of cigarettes

so if anyone has a script or programm for doin it like dagriggstar said pls share it :x
