editing civ3 conquests...

hi

i have just bought civ3 conquests. i have just made some simple modifications to units strengths & renamed a civilzation name & saved it in the file menu.

but when i go to play the game none of the editing is carried across.

am i doing something wrong?

can someone please help me :-(

Did you click "New Game"? That's not how you play a scenario.

When you create your scenario, save it in your Conquests/Scenarios folder (say we name it "MyScenario.biq"). You can make all your changes, etc, and then save it as this file. Then, when you load up Conquests, click the Civ-Content button, not the New Game button. Inside the Civ-Content screen (or the "Scenarios" folder), you'll see your scenario (MyScenario.biq). Double click it and enjoy.

Did you start a new game or resume an old one. In order for the the changes to take effect, you have to start from scratch, they don't work on a saved game.
