That is exactly what I wanted to point out.
Da Vinci code is esentially a readable thriller based on popular Western myths. I don't remember anything what could be connected with Zionism, which is fairly new movement (last century or so).
(maybe they are afraid, that somebody from Muslim world will write a similar book about Muhammad. I wonder how would such person end up. Probably like Salman Rushdie)

Interesting point I'd never considered before. I too get a little thrill seeing our uptight religious types get all flipped out over these kind of movies, but only when it happens to us. When I see others do it it always seems kind of scary.
Maybe because our bible types can cry all they want but the movie will never be banned, and when their version of fundie does the same type of thing it does sometimes actually result in a fascist style banning.

Well, they're right to the extent the book is insulting to traditional Christian and Muslim beliefs. But "based on Zionist myths"? I want whatever they're smoking.
