This is great. You put a lot of effort and thought into this unit and it really shows. Well done.

I think all Egypt needs now is a musketman, grenadier, and cavarlyman and its 100% done. Congrats to all of the unit makers.

I like this a lot, but I think you should give them pants (underneath the skirt, not necessarily instead). I'm just having a hard time imagining any modern or semi-modern soldier fighting in, what is essentially, a kilt. :D

Very nice, this is a particularly well conceived and executed design

Scotsman would disagree :D

Very well done!

About the kilt thing: That isn't really a kilt, more of a robe type clothing. Athe Bedouins used wore them and fought with guns to..

thanks to all....

@Rabbit White...:worship: ...i actually put some thought into the "pants vs robe/skirt" dilema, i decided to go for the skirt taking inspiration again from bakuel and general matt's highlander (if the scotts could hold off the russian cavalry wearing skirts, why not my egyptians!), also, while in NY, I saw a roman era statue (actually half a statue) wearing pants and the description went on about how "the civilized" cultures wore robes and skirts and "the barbarians" were the ones that wore the pants:crazyeye: , in any case, i that would have been WAY before gunpowder.....i DEFINITIVELY would not put skirts on any "what-ifs" during and post trench warfare (I think that would be quite uncomfortable)

@Sword of Geddon...i was under the impression that Bakuel was not going to do the more modern (gunpowder) units:blush:

hello
i like that expression "what if ", i use that term a lot with civs like babylon byzance etc...

I like it! It looks great! :goodjob:
If you ask me pants are overrated anyway, and it’ll make these riflemen a bit more unique to Egyptians once the other 30 or so riflemen get created for each civ…

@Bakuel....i am humbled, thanks....i was thinking that if the gunpowder unit u will be making looks more "modern", perhaps this one could be adapted to the musketman role, either way, i'm glad u like it....

with respect to the pharoah hat....err, (yeah..) this regiment is the special "pharoah's squad", yea thats it....they wear the pharoah headpeice to symbolize....(mmmm....yes) a mini pyramid, so when they get killed in battle, their entrance into the afterlife is guarranteed!

I actually reskinned the rifleman to look British (Yes they used Rifles, not just Muskets) but the dilemma lies in that there UU replaces the Rifleman already...
