There was actually another thread about Oblivion which was pretty busy but it's gotten quiet lately.
I love that game, I got it when I got my 360 and played it to death, downloaded the Knights of the Nine add on but not played it yet. same for Shimmering Isles or whatever it's called.
Wish they'd release more downloadable content like what you can get on the PC but I suppose it's MS's party and you're not allowed in without an invite
If you'll forgive the spoiler for this year-and-a-half-old game, I always found the start very amusing.
When the guard finds you after the Emperor is killed:
"Oh hi, convicted prisoner standing over the dead body of our beloved Emperor. What's that you say? Before he was killed by an assasin, who definately wasn't you, the Emperor gave you his mysterious ancient amulet of immense power? Cool. Well, I can see no evidence of wrong-do here. Off you go then, alone and unguarded into the wilderness with the most sacred treasure of the Empire. Good luck!"
Those guards sure were good at their job.
Plot holes aside though it is a good game. You might want to look into some of mods available for it.
I was wondering the same thing. The collector's edition is very inviting (the game plus the two extensions for mere 30€, but I'm not so sure my laptop can handle it.
It played F.E.A.R with medium settings and it was okay, for comparison.
Plus I don't know if I'll find the time to actually play it... But I just feel I owe it to the makers of such a great saga (Remember arena ?)
I always felt they were two different kinds of games, whereas Morrowind was a more hardcore RPG and had lots of depth and complexity, Oblivion was dumbed down for accesabilaty, but I still love them both. I beat oblivion and did everything with my orc charector, this includes all of the expansions and DLC to, BTW get the castle DLC, its teh awesome.
