Elimination game: The best UU!

yeah but in trait financil isnt overpowered, but it is really good so its goin do good(if not win)

Why not have the best UB?

Yes...it might work when I come to think about it. But I'm still afraid it will be moved to "Warlords" so it won't stay on "General discussion" and much fewer people will take place. Maybe I'll just let everybody (every building that is) start with 3 points in stead of 5..
If not for a UB game I'm out of ideas!

Have you done favorite leader? That could kill some time as there are so many of them!

As for the outcome of this game, it seems fair, the top ten UUs are head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion and the bottom five are by far the worst ones. I'm not surprised at the Praetorians not ending higher than 10th place. They're not the best UU in the game, even if they can be devastating in the right hands. They definitely do belong in the top ten, but I'm not sure that they deserve a higher ranking than the one that they got here.

We had best civ which was similar. How about a gameplay one, best Oracle tech to chose or best initial build order (yeah, I know, that one's a bit naff)?

I know I missed the vote, but I can't believe Gallic Swordsman fared so poorly. I think people just haven't experimented enough with it. It's also a case where the UB compliments the UU very nicely.

Well, yeah, the best civ was okay, but best leader would really show people! People on here are always "discussing" Cathy vs. Peter, Vicky vs Elizabeth, Frederick vs. Bismarck, etc. The best leader game would really settle it once and for all! :)

Maybe I won't do an elimination game. Maybe draw random leaders against each others, not from each civ, but just put every name in a pot and draw someone against someone and then, for an example some duel would be:

Montezuma vs. Brennus

John Smith votes for Monty to win, so does John Smith jr., but John Smith III votes for Brennus to win so Monty gets 2 points in the dual and Brennus 1. Hopefully more people will vote than just the three John Smiths but I'd then place every leader against one another. I think that's quite good. I guess I'll be right on that :)

How about a knockout system? Put a random leader against another random leader, voting lasts 1 day or whatever and the winner after that goes through to the next round.
