Email Fruad? What to do?

It's a stupid email...sorry, but let it go. There are so many more important things that I'm sure this person has done to get you pissed off...leave the email thing alone.

Oh...and don't follow the crowbar advice...that will just get you in trouble. ;)

I didn'tgive him my email adress. ALl he knows about me online is that I have my own forum and that I'm LLXerxes. I dunno how he found my email adress but I suspect it's the llxerxes part.
Little girl? Ok fine. I'll sign up for every forum Ican and use your email ANd I can sign you up for other stuff. WOuld you like it? Makes ya wanna take legal actions don't it?
Boo hoo? WTH are you talking about. THis is SERIOUS. It's not a laughing matter.

BTW, today at school he denied it.

When someone plays a prank on you its SERIOUS, when you play a pranks its just good fun.

If you wanted to use my e-mail for your amusement I wouldn't sue you. What I would do is upload your image to a vigilante site and say that you sexually assaulted a girl from a class two years below you. But because he is too young the police are refusing to take action against him , something should be done about him and his sick parents who have failed to raise him in an appropriate manner. How would that be for a prank? Funny or not funny.

Once again if you can't take it don't dish it out. And don't swear at me either.

This is what happens when children are allowed to access webforums MIRC and messenger programs without parental supervision. Learn a lesson from it, the internet is serious business.

Signing me up for contests and newsletters is now "pranks?" This is not something to make fun of me about. I'm getting signed up for fora, newsletters, even a foxnews contest. IT'S NOT SOMETHING TO BASH ME ABOUT. I was looking for some help but apparently your too good for that...
Sorry I asked. You can shut this threaddown it serves no purpose

My advice is just be nice to your friends. They may have seen you bragging in the other thread about the pranks you have played on them and decided to get their own back. I'm sorry if I made fun of you but you need to try and think a little bit harder about the possible bad consequences of your actions.

Aside from that get another e-mail account :)

Use Mailwasher or something similar so you can preview your mail and bounce those you do not want. That should help. Samildanach's suggestion of getting another e-mail account isn't a bad idea either. Also, are you certain no one is able to log into your account? Have you tried resetting your email password?

Have you tried telling your parents about this? They can proabably help you better than everyone here can (no offense, BTW, to everyone here)
Do you know where this person got your email adress? Did you sign up for anything recently that could've caused it?

This is the latest fad at school. It's where you have imaginary pets and you try to feed them by beating other people in games or something (I dunno but whatever it is it's stupid and i got an email from it).
And, don't be calling neopets stupid :nono:

Wow, your school is four years late. My school was neopet-crazy four years ago... I just liked for the cuteness factor.

Don't be calling it stupid. Call the people who play it stupid. :crazyeye: Yes, that includes me.

Actually I had a neopet for a couple of months! Untill my friends made me come to my senses and quit it, after all, I was 22!!!! It was pretty adicctive to make your pet grow stronger and stronger.

My parents were the first I told. THey were the ones that suggested talking with his parents and my father (comp whiz) is helping.
Well, all he needs to know is the LLXerxes part and where it's from.
@Tomoyo, actually we're 2 years too late. They were doing neopets in 4thgrade... :cringe: many lonely days on the comp

LL, add a filter to your mail application that removes such mail.

If you find Outlook to be limited, try Thunderbird from Mozilla.org

Another good preventive measure is to have one mail account for "spam" and one that you only give out to people you trust.

Of course, the overall rule - that people have repeated a lot in this thread already: Consider where you are and what you are signing up to!

A rule of thumb: It is not good all that looks "free"

If you see your inbox receiving relatively more spam-like email after signing up somewhere - you have done a stupid thing. It is not too late - apply the filter I mentioned above.

A second rule of thumb: If some email comes from someone you havent met yet - AND contains an attatchment - delete on sight!

Ask yourself this: why would anyone waste their time sending something to you if you did not ask them to do it.
