Maryland and DC have just filed a lawsuit against Trump for his alleged violation of the Emoluments Clause, i.e. accepting monies from foreign sources. di

My knee jerk-reaction is they won't be able to establish standing, i.e. to show how there are harmed by his actions. Insofar as they seek a political remedy, the courts will say that is the purpose of impeachment.

A Washington DC hotel already has a suit going, alleging that Trump's International Hotel is taking foreign business from it.

Um, 'showing harm' in an Emoluments Clause case is a nearly impossible burden. That's a case in itself!

There may be an angle on "show harm" if they are approaching it from the standpoint of unfair competition in the hospitality industry. It seems very reasonable to say that Trump hotels being the hotel of choice for visiting foreign representatives that want an inside track makes for a skewed market.
