Emperor diff. is killing me HELP!

Ok so my seond day playing beyond the sword and i am just squeaking out space races on prince... On the original civ prince was a joke, i am finding diplomacy impossible on beyond the sword, i use to pick the religion of either the strongest civ, or the religion that the majority have, this is not working on as well on this version. Also was wondering if any of you guys turn off espionage cause the spy aspect of the game is killing me, i am under constant attack from spys and it is driving me nuts. Well off to try a new game, any suggestions on a new space race civ im not much of a war guy unless i have to be.

might be possible to modify if not in options i have no idead where to mod or what to do

Just keep pluggin away man! Soon enough, YOU will be the one doing all the spying...well, if that's your cup of tea. Personally, I HATED HATED HATED Espionage when I first got BTS. Once I learned to use it, voila, probably one of my favorite aspects of BTS. There's just a really GOOD feeling when you steal a tech from someone. I don't know what it is...

To me, disabling espionage when you buy BTS is really just your way of saying "I'd rather not learn something new, I'd just as soon keep doing things like I have been." And if that was the case, I'd still be playing Duck Hunt and Rad Racer... (shout out to Rad Racer by the way, that game was awesome in it's day).
