Enter Caption

How do you quickly put an Enter Caption tag onto a map?

I've seen on some 'lets play' video's players doing this with a keystroke? But when I've done it in the past it involves zooming out, clicking New Sign, then trying to remember which square it was etc.

alt+s to place caption

alt+x is handy in dot-mapping the map, because it allows you to see the BFC of cities (if you have the BUG mod installed, which you should)

A third shortcut I constantly use is ctrl + alt + r to set reminders.
