I'm thinking of something for you to do :p

Well here's some posting: sooner the orders, sooner the update.

To California CINC
From Texas CINC

Will you accept a cease fire between our two opposing forces for 3 months/6 turns?

In case anyone is lurking just on the forums and not AIM, if i can get one or two more orders, I can do an early update.

starting the update now, though early. The next one will be no sooner than Saturday night.

The General of the Armies, Commander in Chief of the California Republican Guard, declares a ceasefire between Texas and the California Republic.

OOC: I'm quoting this for future reference. Just being my usual paranoid self :p

Domestic Report

In global news, it is rumored that Russian arms dealers have managed several major loans of equipment and weapons to some of the warring factions in the United States. However no proof has yet been made of these claims, and the Russian leadership heartily denies any intervention in the Second American Civil War.

A barrage of propaganda has hit the Confederacy, believed to be published by Texan sources, claiming rascism and tyranny is the foundation of Confederate cause, like the Old Confederacy. Unfortunately, the African American Vice President of the Confederacy has made several public speeches that the new Confederacy is most assuredly different in both policy and form from the decadent slave society of the past.

In Illinois two new volunteer divisions have been formed up for the Great Plains Federation. They consist of citizens from Michegan, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Similar training and recruitment camps in the Dakotas and further west have yet to fill up despite the ongoing New Englander invasion.

In California two infantry divisions have been mobilized in the continuing program. More SUVs and privately owned Hummers have been nationalized. However the use of these new gas-based divisions in battle have been straining the fuel supplies of the Army and has only been slight relieved by oil captured in Texas.

The New England Alliance from recently captured tank factories in Michegan and Ohio have managed to construct a new armored division. This division consists of many newly trained recruits as well as a considerable amount of veterans from the second Korean War. This new tank division has yet to see battle, but it is the first division to be completely powered only by hydrogen fuel cells in the former United States.

Military Report

Fighting in the Confederacy has resulted in an extraordinarily bloody affair. Texan Army Force George, newly under the command of General Claudell who has since become known as Bloody Randy, successfully managed to brush aside several Confederate infantry divisions, inflicting considerable casualties, and capture a bridge over the Mississippi intact north of Baton Rogue. he flanking force then was reinforced by several mechinized divisions which proceeded to fight a vicious but quick battle for both Baton Rogue and new Orleans. Casualties were extensive on both sides, many divisions were brought in and out of battle. One believed cause for the Texans' eventual victory was a lack of heavy tank support for the Confederate Mississippi Front. However, at the climax of Texan triumph, the retreating Confederates blew the dikes near New Orleans, flooding the city and disabling the majority of viechles in one of the Texan mechinized Divisions and forcing them to convert to normal foot soldiers. In addition quite a few Texans in the division simply disappeared as the flood waters raged. While the flood occured several Confederate infantry divisions launched a minor counter attack from holdouts in southern Louisiana swamps.

Confederate successes in Louisiana have unfortunately been dulled by an European invasion of southern Virginia and the Carolinas. European troops have managed to take the city of Norfolk completely intact with minimal resistance as they advanced south upon the city of Charlotte. Confederate forces have been resisting as much as possible, and due to a near equality of numbers have managed some limited success in stabilizing a front in North Carolina, despite the complete occupation of Virginia. Some of New England Alliance controlled West Virginia was also peacefully occupied in a EU attempt to secure the flank as they advanced south.

To the north the EU has also launched an offensive against the New England Alliance's positions in Pennsylvania and New York. They had limited success in breaking the first line of the hastily constructed defenses but ran into blocks as they entered more heavily entrenched and built up terrain. Fortunately for the EU combined arms with use of air support have allowed for easy destruction of obvious New Englander positions, while allowing for a continued advance. The EU air support has also managed to ground a good deal of the American planes by destroying run ways and support buildings. The EU advance suffered a major set back however through NEA raids and American partisan efforts throughout the whole of the occupied territory, as well as strategic destruction and mining of bridges and roads, disrupting many military supply lines and convoys. Casualties have been heavy for both sides.

On a different front, the New England Army of the Lakes has managed another victory against the GPF. General Hood managed to surprise and destroy a defending infantry division in the Ohio city of Lima and take the tank factory there intact as well as many of its newly built machines. His daring assualt and the destruction of the enemy took a mere 2 days. Afterwards, the NEA army inexplicably halted while the GPF assembled a counter attack due to the New Englander assualt being planned only up to the capture of Lima. 5 days after the NEA capture of Lima, 4 GPF Armored Divisions with infantry support attacked the flanks of the Army of the Lakes, coming close to encircling the city of Lima. However, in the nick of time with the arrival of the 2 NEA Armored Divisions, the GPF forces were halted. Casualties on this front have been surprisingly light.

The Second American Civil War has finally extended to the west. Californian forces under generals Stoney and Macaulay have crossed the Rio Grande. The use of a EMP over Santa Fe eventually allowed for the conquest of the city and caused much confusion in the Texan ranks. However, when Californian forces in the northern group, the Army of San Fransisco, hit Santa Fe they ran into stiff resistance by 3 Texan divisions who fought for the city building by building as well as some civilian resistance in the form of Molotov cocktails and sniper activity. It took 10 days to finally force the Texans out of the city, which by that time was rubble through the extensive fighting. After pushing out of the city the beleagered Californians ran into a fresh Texan armored Division which managed to rally the retreating infantry from Santa Fe.

A second Californian army, the Army of Los Angeles, also launched an assualt into Texan territory against the city of El Paso and beyond. The city itself fell without much of a fight and the mostly infantry army under General Stoney advanced deep into Texas. By the end of 2 weeks arriving Texan reinforcements managed to slow the advance to a crawl, but have not actually managed to halt it like the halt of the Army of San Fransisco.

good orders for those who sent them. As a reminder the next update will b no sooner than Saturday night.

OOC: Disenfrancised, do you have aim?

dunno where, but your city placement has irritated a few of the people so i had to modify it. More or less it was the only decent North American map out there. I wish you had done a more mobile NES for commanders, then this one would be unnessacary.

I have 1 set of orders. Better send some in people! update is Saturday afternoon. no sooner, no later. After that my next chance for an update wont be until the following Saturday morning or night.
