Nagin is absolutekly right about the 'hole' in NYC. Its a disgrace, but I dont hear people making patronizing comments about it, they way they do about the efforst in NO to rebuild an entire city.

This just in: Tropical Storm Ernesto is now a hurricane. Projections show it making landfall in Cuba early Monday morning and Florida Thursday afternoon.

I just flew home today from south of Tampa Bay (not because of Ernesto, just a coincidence), but from what I've seen on the weather images, their predictions kept going east, further east, etc. It started out predicted to go through Cuba and the Yucatan peninsula, then over Jamaica, then east of Jamaica. Now it looks like it won't do much damage to the western part of the state.

Hm...well apparently it turned out to be not as bad as everyone thought it would be. Funny, a few days before it hit Haiti I was on vacation on an island off their coast.

Looks like Maryland's gonna get a lot of rain. We seem to be getting rain in bulk this summer.

Hehe i live right next to maryland (Northern virginia).

The newspapers the past month on the weather part actually had to extend the rain graph because it was so so above the average mark this year.
