It's a Wonder (Key Location) so no unless I make it pre-built or move it to another tech.

Since you get these consistently can you remove the music from your game - should just be a case of renaming the music.txt file so that the normal one is picked up instead. This will help us to eliminate whether or not music is the cause of the CTDs.

I assume the music lives in the sound file ... but what is the title exactly?
music.txt is the file you want to knock out - either by renaming it or deleting it. It should be in the Text folder but do a file search on the EFZI2 folder if you can't find it. thanks.

**** Unit ... can the movement be slowed down ... I'm thinking that with all the gears and lever action, added to being prototype ... that the movement would be slower ... more deliberate.

EDIT ... The T.W.A.T. unit

fe3333au...The Sounds are in the Sound Folder....The "Music.txt" is probably in: Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios\Escape From Zombie Island 2 Again\Text
Just Rename that Text File something different such as "1Music.txt" to disable it and be able to keep the file.
Glad the Sheep Attack is what you were looking for.

Yes, units can be slowed down for their Run animations with the .ini speed but to slow any other animations, the animations would have to have slower Flc speeds or be remade. What exactly do you find to be too fast?

All my CTD's have been at the start of a turn, usually when I've researched a tech. And in every one, when I reload and play again, everything carries on as normal. I think it's something to do with civ- I was playing one of my own scenarios today (Or, trying), and it wouldn't even go to the player setup screen... Another scenario of mine I tried gave me a ctd whenever I tried to read the pedia description of a unit...

And on the subject of Dave... he can upgrade to a security with SMG, he just retains his old name.

The movement is too fast (in my opinion) I would see a terminator prototype robot to move in a slower manner ... thump thump thump slow slow thump(indefaticable) planting one leg on the ground before raising the next ... not running around.

Just my opinion ... others may differ.

Found File and will change ... It lives in the 'TEXT' Folder

I've never had a CTD except while developing a scenario but those are almost expected LOL.

I have had a CTD with this scenario lately and I think it might be the music. The reason for this is that you can reload from autosave and continue playing. The music replays from the start of the list when you restart so you won't see the problem immediately when you reload. Anything else would likely give a consistent crash at the same point in the game even from a reload.

I doubt it's the music- I played all the music when I wasn't playing the scenario to make sure if I havn't heard any in-game. I think I've heard them all...

fe3333au... IF you meean the T-800 Unit, I changed that Unit to use 90 speed in the .ini and the S.W.A.T Unit was slowed to use 200 speed in the .ini. I do not know if you have those Updates but these units were made to move slower when I was dealing with sounds for them. Look in the .ini Files for these Units and check to see what Speeds are set from them...(Top Left Corner of the .ini).

Virote_Considon... It seems that crashes are either due to the game trying to play a particular Music sequence that is not there or something concerning Tech Research is triggering the crash. I have not had any crashes but I do not have music playing and I also have not played a game for any long period of time since I am working on it.

I will look into the crash situation and try to set up some tests to check Tech Research. IF anyone experiences Crashes, make a note about anything that was happening prior to the crash. Start by Renaming the Music.txt or simply turn Music Off in the Game. This will help eliminate Music as the problem IF Crashes continue to occur.

I haven't disappeared, I just don't have any feedback to give.

About this CTD I have no idea of its cause, but it's interesting that whenever I load and play this EFZI version I have no problem; when I exit the game however, I'm getting the standard windows error message, as if the program had crashed. I don't think I've seen this with another mod.

Playing now as the Authorities ... on 18 difficulty ... man they have trouble from the beginning

Noticed that the graphic for the Docks wonder splash is a bit 'pixelated' looking.

Oh and I saw these horrible things emerge from the ground ... excellent

I think I will continue playing with music on ... that way we may be able to pin point glitch in the music ... what I will do is reload from auto and then retire ... it will give a time of how long I played (that may help)

It would be a pity to amandon using the music as it really adds atmosphere to the game.

Yes, the Dockyard had to be made by enlarging the existing image and this always causes "blockiness" in the colors from the pixels being grouped together for the larger image. That Splash would need a Totally different image to correcet this.

Once we find the reason for the crashes, I hope we can correct it and keep the music IF that is the problem.

I think it is definitely the music ... this time the music repeated like a stuck like a record ... :old: for those too young it is a reference to a vinyl record playing with a jumping needle ;)

For what it's worth it was the plucking violin section.

It happened halfway through the building completion and info text sequence.

(the long period of wait that you don't do anything except tell your cities what to build, and where the stuff like "Global warming has destroyed la-de-da", and "Volcano has erupted")
