Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

Plotinus has a point. I'd love to see the museum taking effect immediately, but one must know where to put a pause. Imagine a movie director, for example, thinking "I want to shoot this scene, and this, and this, and this..." - no, this movie would never be completed. I suggest to keep this idea for the next update.

BTW, I'll be gone for the next week or ten days because at last I'm going for vacations... have a good play-testing time!
 
I would have to agree...if it is gonna be such a huge thing, it should get its own update...Also, thinking museums made me think: DINOSAURS...Im not saying a whole bunch...but if the Zombies control the museum, it should allow Zombie Dinos...

but that can wait till later...heh heh...
 
I think the museum should just be a simple building allowing Mummies and Mr. Tokugawa to upgrade: No Nuke, No Zombie Dinos ( :lol: ).
 
Yes, it is Very easy and much faster to get off on tangents using ones imagination to create many things. The reality of actually making the Files is not as simple though lol. It seems that there are several MODs in what has been mentioned lately. Perhaps someone should make a Mummy, Dracula, Frankenstein and Werewolf MOD... with a Museum of course:)

Hey you guys are in for a Great Unit. I am working on the sounds for the Zombie Nurse from Plotinus and She is Perfect for this game...and any other game that needs a Superb Zombie Nurse. He will be uploading her as soon as I can get the sounds completed. I want to do her justice with sounds but I may be able to complete them over the weekend.
...Special Thanks to Plotinus for making this needed unit and especially because he had to juggle his work schedule to be able to do it in the first place. He also worked in all animations for this unit so she is complete.

Plotinus... My MOD does and has used Zombies and an entire array of different Units. ..... Take the Zulu's for example. They Can Use Zombies as a Fun and different unit in the game. There are as many different games as people and I am sure many will use your Zombie Nurse. There are serious games that strive for Reality and History but many enjoy Fantasy, Sci-FI and in this case a Horror Movie lol. Besides, the Zombie Nurse is Fun ...a Real "Scream":D

Cloner4000...Thanks for looking up possible Tech Screen images. They are needed to complete Tech Screens and I appreciate your searching around for something we can use.
The Top Image without Labels is more like what I am interested in to show Paradise Island as the Best Place to live for the first two Tech Screens. Any Beautiful Island with Blue Skies and water type thing. The Third Tech Screen should show "something is coming" or changing. Something Ominous and could be depicted with a Storm or Dark Clouds type image. The Forth Tech Screen (Modern) needs to show Zombies like a Horror Movie type...a Nightmare.
The Images need to be Large Full Screen. The Size will be 916 Width x 647 Height for the Tech Screen Window. Larger is better to start with than Smaller because images that are enlarged lose detail and become pixilated.

The Top image you show with the Blue Sky and Water could be used but it is too small. Go for Larger Images. Since images the size we need do require more time to download when viewing this Thread, IF you can Zip them it may save the Dial Up users time.
 
I can look for some black clouds in the distance.
 
OK, after some more testing today, here's what I've got:

1. Zombies can dispand Jeff Morris. This is just plain bad.
2. Dr. Lazar is called Director Van Allen in-game.
3. No Sam Hammer- this is OK- Zombies are just using him :p
4. Clearance sale can be built ANYWHERE, just so long as you have the resource- shouldn't it stay in the furnature store?
5. Clearance sale can be captured by the Zombies
6. Zombie Nurse School cannot be built- are/were you waiting for Plot's unit for this?
7. When in AI hands, Rev. always dies. How about giving him 3-4 defense?
8. Company can't "retain" Jeff Morris :/. Oh, well. They don't really need him!
9. "Missing Cinema PCX"- The wondersplash has an extra "R" in it.
10. I keep getting a CTD. I think it may be one of the ambiant sounds, althought I'm not sure. It usually happens after I'm a long way in.

Overall, it's better than the last version by a long shot. When playing as the Authorities or the Company, I don't feel like a sitting duck anymore. When I'm the Zombies or the Survivors, it's more challenging. One problem is, that Zeb seems to get over-run a lot, and I never remember this happening in previous versions. Also, the graveyard seems to get razed. A lot.

7. That still won't help, because there's an alpha zombie in the Church, so it'll just kill him. Probably the best thing to do would be putting him in in the house two tiles southwest of the church.
8. According to the civipedia, they're not supposed to be able to.

my trail version of the painter I am using expired so I can't open the pcx pictures, Ican't look at Lord Malbeth's picture so I'll just go ahead and work on the zombie city and the normal city ones. Is it okay if I enlarge the picture a bit?
 
I'm back after a couple of days absence to find that I'm building up a pipeload of work for the next update after this one LOL. The museum is a nice idea for the future
together with an expanded Zeb faction.
Thanks to Vuldacon for holding the fort and fielding the questions while I was away. Here's a few more answers and confirmation of what's been said so far.

* The Police Department Wonder should require the Police Chief Resource and can only be built at the Police Station. I've just corrected this one.
* You're right the zombies do seem to disband the Jeff unit so I unchecked Disband from the unit's standard orders.
* I've fixed Dr. Lazar's name now.
* Clearance Sale - I decided to let this be built anywhere after all it just means you move the furniture from the Furniture Store to another location. To prevent it being captured by
the zombies I just flagged it obsolete with Zombification in the same way as the other wonders.
* Zombie Nurse School should be buildable. I can't see what would stop it. It needs to be built at The Hospital and can only be built by zombies of course.
* The Rev - The AI isn't very intelligent but I don't want to make getting the Rev to safety too easy for the player.
* Jeff - no The Company can't get Jeff. Jeff has a gripe with the Company after they fired him.
* I've fixed the Cinema wonder splash now.
* CTD - Are you playing with the new music? If so remove it and try again. Send me any savs that you have at the time.

Spacer One -
*Spunky Kids should be invisible and have Radar - I've just corrected this in the biq.
* About the Invisible Zombies - it's quite simple really. As we all know, zombies are slow, noisy and smelly, and yet somehow they always manage to sneak up on people and mob them when they least expect it. The invisible zombies are Sneaky Zombies. A sneaky zombie requires the Nerd resource - their diet of big brained boffins makes them slightly smarter than your average zombie.

Ok, finished an Authority game.

First, it was buisness as usual. Getting my cities overrun, all except for city hall, the docks, and the armory and the military base. Then build a few cruisers, to help defend for the inevidable hordes.

Then the hordes came. I started to rush missiles and stuff as fast as possible, but still lost the armory and the military base. (Hank was still alive though) Eventually, I recaptured the military base, and missile time again.

I think I fired off a total of 25 crusise missiles at the advancing hordes, while sparing an occasional cruise missile at any zombie king I can find. (and randomly missiling cities to check if they are there)

Eventually, I finally killed their last king unit ( :yeah: ), and then it became happy.

Basically, the Authorities are freakisly hard to play as. I had to go out with an army of dockers to pillage cities for more supplies from the zombies, cause I ran out hurrying missiles.
 
Hey, in the spunky kid pedia entry, it says they can only be killed through bombardment and attacking, but some zombies attacked him and he died, :confused:. Also, there should be more preplaced gasoline (like inside the car park) because currently, there are like no cities with gasoline in their radius, and you can't build the friggin' helicopter, :angry:. Also, how do you build colonies?

I found the problem for this- it alows growth to city sizes 2 AND 3- like the Graveyard.

I'm not so sure if it IS the music... The point is, it happens roughly 1--2 hours in, and if I reload off the Autosave, it works again. It also normally happens at the begining of the turn, if that helps.
 
@Cloner4000 - Silent Hill-the movie is just a very, very dull composition of stuff from the game series (like, the almost exact scenes), mixed up storyline, and alltogether horrible directing..

Silent Hill - the Game, on the other hand would scare the sh!t out of anyone, anytime, especially the first one in the series.

Only good movie based on a game I saw was Resident Evil (RE2 isn`t bad either :)), everything else is crap.

Sorry if I`ll sound like a noob and possibly annoy some people, but is there an ETA on the next release, or am I just supposed to sit tight and chew on my leg.. um.. , I mean, wait?
