Escape From Zombie Island 2: The Remake

The download is extremelly slow, could u upload it to Rapidshare?
I believe the download there is about 100kb/s for a decent connection, at the one u uploaded it, its barely 4kb/s .. which is impossible ;O

More to it, i really wanna see that game, looks kind of good :D
 
European... That type of slow situation must be due to something temporary but in any case, the Game is still being worked on for a Final Update that will be Uploaded along with Uploading the Complete Game with the Final Update as soon as it is completed.
 
Had a quick look at rapidshare and there's two things I don't like:

1. max 100MB per file
2. Your file will be deleted when it has not been accessed for more than 90 days

because of that I don't think I will use but I'll look into other free alternatives.
 
Yes, the Completed Game will probably be toward 275 MBs depending on how many more files are added. It is now 265 MBs on disc.
...Lately, I am having to deal with many "Chores" that have been put off these past two years. I am Lucky to have a Great Wife who never Nags me but there are many things that are my responsibility to take care of. This has and will slow the progress to complete the Final Update and Finished Game but it is being worked on as time permits.

Working on a new unit and will be looking into the Pyromaniac Units for the Survivors and Farmers. At this time, the Pyromaniac is the same Unit for both Factions but re-colored. The current Unit is a very good Unit but does not fit as well as it could for either Faction due to the Army Gear and Clothes.
...It would be better to make a new Pyromaniac unit for the Survivors that looks like a Civilian for example and make a totally different type of unit for the Farmers to replace their Pyromaniac with something more fitting. Not sure about these units yet and the Game will need testing and adjusting to finalize it after all units and additions have been added.
 
Hey! First I must congratulate you on a really really great mod you've done. I was a bit skeptic at the beginning, but soon found out this game has depth, it's very enjoyable, well balanced and a great fun! :goodjob:

I found a problem though. I played as the Survivors and managed to kill all the zombies. Ok, the game didnt end, because I should've killed other factions also, but I built the helicopter and took 2 of my units to the mainland and moved them to the TV station square, but nothing happened. Also under the victory screen, I got the 5 step plan as a victory condition, which is strange... and I cant upgrade Elvis, even though I have the golden record.

I attached the savegame, where all can be seen.

Taurus78... Thanks for the Kind words and glad you find the game Fun to play. The game does have some flaws that have been corrected now and it is still being worked on for a Final Update and Completion for this Version of the Game.

yes, a Conquest Victory requires that you eliminate all other Factions.

When you get to the TV Station, you must stay there for 10 turns in order to build up the needed Points (100 per turn) required to Win this "Victory Location" (1000 points=10 turns). This is the quickest this could be set up due to hard coded game factors for this type of victory we used for the TV station Win. IF you look at your Victory Screen, you will see the Points that you have gained toward the 1000 needed.
Elvis The King will Upgrade when you capture the Radio Station and have the Gold Record if you either build a Machine Shop or take him to a building that has a Machine Shop. Machine Shops are like a Barracks in that they are required to Upgrade a unit as well as allow veteran units to be produced and repaired. Also, check that you have the required Supplies to Upgrade him.

Edit: are you playing as the Company? If so, why is it strange that you gained the 5 step plan as a Victory condition?
 
I just downloaded the scenario, but as I started it, this message came up:

Any advice on how to fix this?

you get that error because you are missing a file called
JaguarWarrriorFortifyGrunt.wav - see my attached screenshot.

There's at least two ways to fix this but I'll give you the easiest way for starters.

1. Navigate to the Jaguar Warrior unit folder. It will be somewhere like C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Civilization III Complete\Art\Units but depends on the version of Civ3 you have.

In that folder you must have a file called JaguarWarriorFortifyGrunt.wav (exactly spelled). Copy another wav file in that folder and give it the above name. Of course you may want to pick a wav that has a grunt sound otherwise your Indian Braves might make funny noises when you fortify them.

Really good, loading time is fine even thou the amount of units in this scenario, i like the humour, like doc. MUAHAHAHAH MUAHAHAHA etc ;D
Brilliant funny graphics, and awesome gameplay.

and of course seing Vuldacon in the retirement home :P

On the other hand zombies are a lil to strong, i play very fast turns, and even thou while playing company i barely moved in 3 hours (got to future tech.) i was able to take Hospital, Wild Boar Inn, Cinema, Bank, Police Station, and started sieging the research center, but 3 hours ;o

Also with best regards but you should inform the players that you can "shot" from certain units, in my first game as the Authorities, i got wiped off the planet because i've noticed i can shot when i had only MIlitary Base left :p, and then i killed more zombies the overall for the whole game lol, and first noticed it when engaging Paul Snake into combat ;P

Also computer doesnt use the Shot option, so he dies as fast as i did as the Authorities, my best bet would be to lower the attack (to 1 so they can take cities.) of all bombard like units and flag them as flavour ;O

This way the computer will most likely used them agressive, now he only normally attacks which is kidna dumb since in hand-to-hand zombies rape all humans easily (20.24 Monster Zombies about 80 turn they almost replace normal zombies.)

European... Lethal Bombardment (Shoot) for Units is listed in Bonuses for the Units in the Civilopedia.

Lethal Bombardment (Shoot) is very effective for Human Players. The AI will tend to use Bombardment for a few units on the map but mainly will use it from inside a Building against other units when Attacking/Defending.

The AI will always favor Direct Attack Over Bombardment. Bombardment Units in the CIV Game are auxillary Units and the Game depends more on Direct Attack. Setting all units with an Attack of 1 will not solve the issue. This is why the Zombies have such strong Attack/Defense/Hit Point settings and also the reason for their numbers.
...It is intended that the Human Player be able to use the Lethal Bombardment (Shoot) ability of units more effectively as part of their Game Play Strategy.
...The Game is basically about Human Strategy coupled with the Lethal Shoot ability of special Units vs the Hordes of different Zombie units, and their direct Attack/Defense strengths.
 
Hey all! I downloaded the scenario and for some reason I don't get the newest version (with more locations, units, etc.). Can anyone give me the link to the newest version? The one on page 1 doesn't seem to be it!
 
Sorry to people looking for the update. It was removed because Vuldacon and I were unhappy with it. Despite this fact the version that's currently there is still very enjoyable and playable.

The final version is still being worked on. Vuldacon is working on a new unit: a drunk who throws molotov cocktails.

If, however, you feel that you are really missing out on something you can PM me and I will send you a link to the last version that was posted previously.
 
My apologies for not keeping you all more informed...
I have had to do many postponed Chores as well as deal with a few personal problems.

Currently working on "The Drunk" for the Farmers and the Wild Boar Inn. Many problems to work out to make this Unit as desired but coming along very well. The Alcohol Flames and Fire were tough to make due to color and wanting to make the Flames appear to be Transparent without having any Real Transparent colors... I managed to accomplish this and Bjornlo made Nice Bag, Bottle and Rag Props I am using. I am almost finished with the Victory and then will make the Death animation. All Other animations are Rendered. I will have to make many palettes to be able to combine different needed colors and a great deal of Post Render Work. After that, Sounds and adding the Unit to the Game will be accomplished.

I would like to replace the Pyromaniac Units for the Survivors with ones that appear more Civilian and Hannible was not completed by odintheking so that also remains. I will have to assess if more Units will be remade and look over all Graphics. All Factions will need to be played many times to adjust all units and Game Play for the Final Update. Basically slow going alone due to others having different things to work on now but I will complete this Game for a Final Update for sure. Please Bear with me, this will take some time.
