There was a pretty big discount offer on Civ V halfway through last year. Compare new owners Civ V vs Civ VI then look at revenue for each. People are pleased to pick up a bargain, I know I did last year with all the bundled DLCs.
Interesting seeing No Man'sGameSky still netted 43 million, that had pretty significant problems on release.
The list is primarily dominated by FPSes, WRPGs, and wide open sandboxes, but it's always good to see strategy games on the list. Thanks for numbers. Although as fan, I don't care so much about its mass-market financial success --my favorite games. music, movies, and even shows rarely featured on such lists-- but I hope that with backing of those numbers the devs will be able to continue to improve\expand civ6.

Many of my favourite game genres (platform, action-adventure, JRPGs, MMOs, MOBAs, strategy, and construction/space management simulation games) are generally not represented on such lists.
Civ VI is also available in the Mac App Store (and is also the only legal non-Steam version available for Civ VI).Don't forget that Civ is Steam Exclusive though, which many other games are not. A ton of them aren't even PC-exclusive.
Well, let's be honest here... there's about 29 or 30 people who use a Mac to play Civ.Civ VI is also available in the Mac App Store
That's true for any PC game though.(and is also the only legal non-Steam version available for Civ VI).
Yep!However, sales from the Mac App Store are a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things.
Be VERY careful. It got a lot of buyers from before the launch. The game is not in any way good past the expansion phase, although expansion is very well done. After that, it's quite dull.Civ5 did that well. Wow.
Didn't realize Stellaris was that much of a success. I think that may be the game I try next
Cities: Skylines took over simcity. It only shows up in the number of players chart, not amount of money, though. After 25 years in the charts, Simcity has gone...
