Europe and the US declares war on each other all of a sudden.

Who would win this epic battle? Any potential allies. While the US has a great advantage in unity, Europe has three times more people. Think about that.

No lead time for either side to ramp up production, etc? I'd give the defiinite edge to America. Our naval forces would easily defeat any naval force that could be thrown at it, therefore our land would be safe. At the same time, while our land is safe, we'd be slowly (or not so slowly) obliterating the European infrastructure, paving the way for invasion.

I would think the US would take the battle as I get the impression Europe is rather reluctant to do anything in terms of war. And it is that reluctance that will be the linchpin to a US victory. And an occupation may be a lot easier than Iraq based on the assumption that common Europeans are reluctant to engage in any kind of warfare and those that do resist may not be as daring and fanatical as the insurgents in Iraq.

vietnam was like the current iraq war, there is virtually no public or congress support, that is the only reason we withdrew

i saw the US because i highly doubt that europe could win, and i highly doubt5 the british would turn against us, unless some moron took control who wanted their country to be destroyed. and i doubt they would be very happy about working with the french, because even though, those wars are over, there is still bad blood

Europe will win, because we'll bring in the rest of the Commonwealth (to fight for their queen and country), and we'll have a lot of the Middle East, and maybe even China and the rest of the world!

North Vietnam didnt beat the US militarily......in fact, they lost every single military engagement. It was lack of will that beat the USA in that one...not military might.
