My vote is for Paris. Why? Because all my life people have gone on and on about how beautiful it is, and I thought "yeah, right -- how beautiful can it be?"

And then I saw it, and realized that they weren't over-hyping it.

It's beautiful, but also it's huge and modern. Other beautiful cities (such as Prague) remain so only in the Downtown area, and only by not changing over many years.

Paris has changed with the times, has grown, and yet managed to remain breathtakingly beautiful (most of it at least.) Truly impressive.

It's not in the mainland, but it is in Asia...

... You should study a bit more the concepts of "belonging" and "mainland".
And a encyclopedia with a World Atlas also...

Prague. Unlike Paris or Rome it's beauty is highly concentrated, almost everything is beautiful there. You may open a normal looking door in a sidestreet and find yourself in a wonderful church in the next moment. And all those statues are great, especially the ones of Rabbi Loew and King Karl.

Among those on the list, I chose Praha.. but Wien or several others not on the list would also have been strong contenders.

Truth is, though, that I think the most beautiful places to visit or to live are almost never big cities! I realize we can't very well have a poll with a thousand little hamlets listed on it ... but if we did there'd be at least 100 I'd like better than any of the cities...hehe.

alright, you could make a case for any city in europe, but outh fo the ones i could think of off hand, and a sort of ment smaller ones too, i kinda regert put rome ad paris instaed of Brussels, lisbon and dublin, there are other s forgot too but these polls only allow 20 options...l

One of the most beautiful cities in Europe is Heidelberg. It's so beautiful, that one has to wonder why it wasn't destroyed during the war
