Is it possible to load beyond the sword and warlords into one comp? (Similar to sims expansions) or do you have to choose one or the other. If you have to choose, which would you recomend?

I have Vanilla, Walords and BTS installed. I generally play BTS, but when I wish to play one of the scenarios from Vanilla or Warlords, I just pop in that CD and run that version. I can't think of any reason not to have both installed.

I convinced myself that Civilization Compete was a good deal since I don't have Colonization yet. :cringe: lol
(or Warlords, I went straight to BTS)

/mumbles something about getting it off eBay for $25 :D

If you have BtS, you don't really need Warlords. BtS has everything that's in Warlords with the exception of the scenarios. So unless you have your heart set on playing those, don't bother.

Warlords has some cool scenarios IMHO ... if you want my sugestion, try the Barbarian, the Genghis Khan and the Chinese Unification ones ;)
That's no reason to get Warlords.

History of Three Kingdoms, a mod for BtS, blows the socks off of the official CU scenario. In fact this is just a really cool game in it's own right.

And someone has ported the Barbarians scenario to BtS anyway, so you don't need Warlords to play it. There also exists a Barbarian Alliance mod for BtS.

I know about those, but atleast the barbarian scenario for Bts is not equal to the warlords one due to the fact that siege in BtS can't kill in offense ( in the warlords scenario the best thing to do was to buy a bucketload of trebs ;) ). That alone makes it a completely diferent beast.

Now I definitely agree on the History of the Threee Kingdoms mod: it is a impressive work.
