Expansive abuse: Oracle Code of Laws fast GM

GM first proved to be more useful in my shadow compare to GS first ( I did 2 shadow).

1) Pottery came late to justify an Academy in capital.

2) Philo went off very early to justify a GS bulb.

3) 900 :gold: allow me to run 100% research slider for 40 turns or so. By 1 AD I am running at 100+ :science: .

4) I popped GS as my second GP, for an Academy. Further increasing the value of :gold: => :science: ratio.

5) Library/Monastry/Academy in capital means the 900 :gold: is actually worth about 1500 :science: .

However I am on the fence spawning a GA because I needed a 2nd GS for Edu bulb. I managed to get a Music first by the conventional way.

Looking forward for an update to see how Vicawoo played out. Definitetly a very interesting concept/game.

I apologise for the sidetrack as I was the one who brought up the link to youtube and mentioned about the Oracle Build time.

In Xml there's a value for SB for the wonderbuilding parameter that says that SB never builds wonders, or at least DJ Anion's guide translates the xml value for SB as "He never builds wonders". But i'm sure i've seen him build wonders. I'll check what the code does exactly with this xml value.

He definitely does, in my Mansa game he got both SH and GW.

In DanF's XML chart, there's the variable iWonderConstructRand, which has a min of 0 and a max of 50. There are 3 civ's with a value of 0: Bull, Monty, and Barbs. I think Anion assumed that 0 meant "never", since barbs are 0 and they never build wonders. OFC, this is not a valid assumtion, as many of us have observed Monty and Bull building wonders. It's probably just a weighting factor to increase/decrease the probability that a civ will build a given wonder, and there's probably also hard-coding somewhere to exclude barbs from building any at all.

I'm also very interested in the outcome of this game and the future reports of vicawoo.

Even though it's quite situational (oracle, being able to block a lot of land with 2nd city...) and probably not optimal, it's a fun way to do something new.

I'm currently in a "Unrestricted leaders" phase, and I've come up with a pretty synergetic combo for this strategy :

Mehmed of the Aztecs

- Expansive (prerequisite)
- Organized (always good)
- UB calls for aggressive whipping, so lots of food, which later will be turned into specialists
- Mysticism as a starting tech (though the starting tech combo is bad in itself)

The only downside I can see is you lose the spiritual trait of monty, which is quite beneficial to a SE when you need a burst of production.

I think I'll try it out and let you guys know how it goes.
